  • Distributed Power Generation Cascaded Grid Connection Model with Droop Control
This Simulink model represents a distributed power generation system with multiple sources connected to the grid via a cascaded structure. The model includes two distributed generation units:
A 10kW photovoltaic (PV) power source
A 20kW generator, both equipped with droop control mechanisms for decentralized power sharing.
The primary objective of this system is to simulate grid-connected power sources operating under droop control to regulate frequency and voltage without direct communication between generators. Each source connects to the main AC 400V grid through circuit breakers, which allow disconnection and reconnection to the grid as necessary.
The system also includes multiple loads (5kW, 10kW, 4kW) distributed along different branches, representing various stages of power consumption. A reactive power compensation unit (15kW, 8 kvar) is included to maintain voltage stability and improve the power factor of the system.
This model is ideal for analyzing the stability and dynamic behavior of grid-connected distributed generation, focusing on voltage and power regulation, and load-sharing between the sources.
