now that I think about it, isn't swamp thing the perfect counter to blue beetle? an anti air wake up, a trait that stops you from jumping, seems like a good counter to a character that thrives in the air.
Yeah he can get around the aerial stuff but beetle still has better buttons in general
Beetle has a string that can get him airborne and he can float out of it so he doesn’t even NEED to jump per se

Only thing swampkhing got opened up by consistently was the overhead blast. His blocks were SOOO GOOD. Why tf did it seem like everything he did was plus.

I played SwampKhing once. We seriously played like 20 games and he won 19. It's one of those times where someone makes you feel like you've never even played the game before.

By tier list what do you mean? I don’t believe in tier lists. Kinda feel if it’s a ease of use tier list, like how easy a character is to use then yeah. But as for how good characters are, any character can be amazing it’s just the person playing them. Swampkhing plays an amazing swamp thing!

that’s exactly the point of tier lists, tier lists are ranking characters assuming they're all being played at equal skill levels. when you see "beetle-swamp thing matchup is 6-4", it means if two equally skilled players fought that matchup, swamp thing would lose 6 out of 10 games because he is simply not as good of a character
but yeah of course a really really good low tier player will always wipe out a bad high tier player

I think Swamp thing is one of the most technical characters in IJ2.
He feels SO slow, like other characters run circles around you before one action even finishes. You can't get that watching this, very impressive to see him played at the high level like this.

Why is he refusing to use Blue Beetles blades? They increase the range and damage of pretty much all his attacks. It seems like he's avoiding using them to have his dinky little ranged attack but it's not worth it.

I imagine blue beetle as the nerfed version of superman, he is good at close distance with the advancing mid, mix ups, cross ups and 50/50s, great as hell at far distance with pew pew pew pew, he just don't have the damage but he is okay btw, top 7 or 8

Swamp Thing doesn't smoke weed. Not judging just saying. Smoking weed would involve what he would see as the unnecessary culling and servitude of cannabis plants which are members of the green. Also he's not even remotely laid back. Dude is a serious Sally. Even if he wanted to I doubt the Parliament Of Trees would stand for it.
