Did you know, that singer Vera Lynn who sang the original song 'It hurts to say goodbye' in 1967 died 18th of June 2020 and she was 103 y.o. By the time of her death in 2020 she had been active in the music industry for 96 years.
I referred only to that special quality of Edith's voice that I've never heard from anyone else. But Sussa has it. Beyond that, I agree with you that she's a better singer than Edith was.
She reminded me of Edith Piaf. Such powerful voice. soul wrenching ! I wish she will consider a World Tour. She'd put all those in the limelight to shame.
I have listened to your performances a katrillion times. Pls come to USA and tour. You have set a gold standard in the arena of vocal music. Thank you thank you thank you for sharing your absolutely addicting voice!!!

Actually, I believe the blind musicians are mostly the best musicians in the world. They don't have vision of their surroundings to taint what's in their heart, mind and ears. Their pure conception of key is phenomenal. They hit the notes or play the notes with right on key clarity. I've known blind piano players. One young man had never had classical piano training. His piano education was simply as what key is what letter, what octave. He played unerringly any music score requested of him. Another young blind piano musician, did have fine music conservatory training. He is presently play in Europe in and with various symphonies. He's also soloed there as well. I haven't heard from him in a long time. Suppose he's kept busy.
I can't believe Finland is a so advance modernized country, but the singer still believed that old school music are still the best. Way to go Sussu. Old songs are still the best. Bets singer Sussu
Aw, Laura Mawle, I'm truly sorry for your loss. It has been 10 months for me and little things still catch me by surprise. May you find a path forward through your grief to the day where the sun shines, again.
To Ana Paula Pardal Please try listening to Shirley Basie, also on TH-cam, Sussu may very well become of the same caliber as Dame Shirley, she needs to put more passion and transform herself into the song.

At the beginning she reminded me of the beloved Cilla Black, who was a fabulous belter, great power at the top and a vibrato that extracted huge excitement from those great tune we associate her with. Then Sussu sings You're My World and makes it her own. Wow. What a talent.
I watch this video of Sussu's performances on The Voice of Finland at least twice a day. When I first came across her audition about a month ago, it was like; one of those moments in time....Sussu's unique voice....it transported me back to 1978, to when I was a teenager and heard the unique Kate Bush for the first time singing "Wuthering Heights" and became an instant fan. Now I am in my early 60's I have become a new fan of Sussu, her voice is pure gold, and like Kate Bush, she has stage presence, it's kind of hypnotic.
