I am also looking for my first car right now, on road 14.5 type. Have looked sonet htx 1.0 dct(i am not tall and the seats seemed super comfy, tad bit less than Nexon) and also stuck with creta ex and brezza(don't wanna go with Nexon, XUV 3xo for their poor fit n finish after sales and other obvious reasons). Wanna hear your honest thoughts and suggestion!

Sonet HTX DCT and Creta E/EX both are good options.
But DCT gearbox demands higher maintenance cost, whereas an MT gearbox demands comparatively less maintenance cost.
Another factor that could and should impact your decision is build quality. In this Creta has an upper hand. Its cabin cage (Pillar A, B & C) and platform consists of much more high strength steel than Sonet.

My suggestion would be Creta EX.
Build quality is better.
Seating position is a bit higher.
All required and easy to operate features for seniors.
Better Steel used in Frame.
