I would really like to know the answer to this question and hopefully one of these days this question would be asked .UK and USA has a special relationship and collaborates on a lot of things that includes anything to do with military whether it’s the ground , sky or water or even under water or nuclear etc . Lot of exercise and training , bombs planes you name it uk USA does it together however USA is going solo with its 6th gen F/A-XX whereas uk is going with Italy and Japan with TEMPEST AND Germany is going with Spain and France with NGF why is USA going alone ? Haven’t they learned lesson with F22 where ok it’s the best one but it was very expensive almost never used in combat and is slowly getting phased out so kind of a waste . Surely collaboration like how they did with F35 is the best way to do it isn’t it ? I mean imagine uk with TEMPEST and USA with F/A -XX and instead of uk doing with japan/ Italy and USA doing alone , they should’ve done a UK/USA COLLABORATION called the F/A TEMPEST- XX it would’ve been lit technically far superior and less burden to tax payers and if you’re looking for the absolute best in class like something that has spaceship quality than you make the collaboration with UK/USA/ Germany/japan. That’s the 4 best country combo that will be in another level. German engineering with Japanese technology with uk experience with usa adding stuff from f22 OMG that would’ve been the endgame. Also the looks of both tempest and f/a-xx looks bad ass but which one do you personally prefer ?
