Much respect Al, unlike Chris or Lamb Chops you appear to be able to ride off road. I grew up riding loose chippings trails like that in Wales and I still miss it. I would happily swap my 1290Superduke for a Husqvarna 701 if I had trails like that in Sussex. ps you mentioned Afghanistan, thats where the earliest Celtic burial mound ever was found. Thats also where apples originated. I am convinced we brought them with us to Britain to make cider, great vid, looked a lot of fun
Machynlleth was a tiny village in the jiddle of nowhere a few decades ago. Now it is one of the hottest hubs for 2 wheeled adventuring! Athertons Mountain Bikes are designed, built and tested in the Mach Loop. ❤
Went on this in October it’s the best day out on a bike I’ve had for a while the lads and ladies at the Triumph experience are brilliant The deep water is fun 😁
Love it - it's made me want to flog the MT10 for something knobblier and swallow some welsh stool water. Reminded me of your Dakar prep vids from back in the day
Great vid. We live in the "arse end of nowhere" as you called it! AKA as Llandovery, is biking central...its a great place. We moved here from England mainly for the biking roads - would never move back to England! The MOD road you rode across would have formed part of the ill fated "Welsh TT"...shame that never came to anything as it would have been epic.
After watching spinning up that bike on the muddy trails I hereby certify you crazy enough to join me running a Rocket 3 out on the Bonneville Salt Flats. Congrats 👍👍
While I can’t speak for the UK here in Australia it is extremely common to see 900-1300cc Adv bikes doing exactly that, though usually not as wet😉 My Tiger 900 RP with all the farkles is worth about AUD$29K and I take it the same places I take my 500cc Enduro. At the end of the day though what you imagine owners do or don’t do with their bike regardless of how much it cost or its size is irrelevant. Ride your own ride in whatever environment, over whatever terrain on whatever bike suits YOUR wants, needs and budget.
still been meaning to go here got myself tiger 1200 rally pro and took it off road a few times and loved it but wana maybe learn little more as going to be doing all the ACT in time
Tim gets an invite to the ranch as they need someone to serve the drinks and nibbles. Regards maggot farms. There a posh spa, retreat near Newark that used to be a maggot farm. 🤢
I don't think those are equivalent. Occasional spills are par for the course for off-roading because conditions are a lot less predictable than a closed-circuit racetrack. The risk-reward equivalent would be someone taking their 60k or 80k superbike to the track - and most people who own such a bike will never take it to the track either.
how strange, Iliterally popped into one the the shops you rode past. I was chatting to a mate and the girl behind the checkout said, youre not from round here ayoo? no I said, is it my accent? no shes said, youve only got five fingers.
Years ago I thought of getting something like a T7 and ride the TET, I saw it passing right by my house actually. Then I looked closer... It's all asphalt for at least 90 minutes :/ If you have a playground nearby such as in this video, kindly accept my envy.
Talk to my pal Günter from eh.. German Town, Germany... eh... I... well, no birds in a GS... so... hell yeah, I'd go fora Triumph, winner wiiner chicken sammwish!
🙄 ...how long must be ridden if 106 kg have a "good mind" ? what do you like more on-road or offroad riding ? or depends at daily constitution ( i like the netherland video about modificated superbikes for offroad course ) and wheel-spin what is about that in 44teeth team - like or to danger for 365 days moped use ?
@@FortyFourTeeth Both the Trecastle Roman Road and Tirabad Forest are Green Lanes open to anyone. Bet the Tirabad Forest is blocked after the battering from the storm this weekend.
I bought a second hand Street Scrambler, that had been registered with Hinkley Triumph and had only done 600 miles but it was covered in dirt. Must have been used for a journo day, like these poor bikes. Someone will get the chance to give that bird in your engine a home for life.
Would have been a good Easter egg to have a 6’4” fella on a K2 gixxer leaving that trail access junction at Tirabad just as the Triumph crew rolled up 😅

It's amazing how much fun you can have on someone elses 20 grand ADV bike!

The deep water is fun 😁
Even if you stack it in the deep stuff?? 😂
@ and to add I’ve got a Tiger 1200 and after doing the experience fitted it with knobblies ready for some off roading
Well you only live once 😁

I'm laughing at the speedo thinking it's doing 80+mph because the wheel's spinning 🤣 And in true Fagan fashion, he left his indicator on a 13:00

Nice review with lots of fun - Enjoy it while you can Nigel :) !!
Buy 2nd-hand and have a blast! Lots of owners using these big bikes off-road, Spain, Pyrenees, Alps etc. Fantastic fun👍
I imagine the vast majority of owners take out their TIGER 1200 RALLY PRO, with a starting price of £18,295.00, and do this.

You need to release an album with all your noises and exclamations while your riding....you're pissing hilarious!! 😂
That looks fantastic nige.. i was in Bristol today. Was going to pop into jhs but didn't want to look like a stalker fan lol..
Good video Al!
Thanks, good to ride with you!
So I honestly can’t imagine a worse experience but it’s fun to watch.

Love the "out line" design on the screen at the end of the video. 🤭
Muddy heaven, don't think my 955i tiger would last long ,was that the best of British you passed Yumping .
I really need to get myself on one of these days.
Now that is a nice skills day.

I dont put my bike away for the winter... I ride that thing every single day!! And i bloody love it i do.
You said you wouldn't take a 20k bike off roading but I bet you wouldn't think twice about a 20k track bike
True
that is a great point.
Unless it's someone else's bike?
Here in Sweden I've met dozens of riders who take their big bikes off road routinely 🤷

Looks proper fun! Sod it im buying a enduro bike 😂. Whats this place called in wales?
I ride through the army range quite often. The red flags are always flying 😊👍
Was that Gerald from Clarksons Farm giving you instructions on how to get through the big puddle?
Good effort! Looks very tiring just watching….I’ve called my boss for a day off tomorrow!
this looks fun, too bad i'm not allowed offroad where i live.
Nice one 💪
Anyone done the Triumph experience vs the KTM or Yamaha T7 weekend?
What happened to the ktm video?
