Hi Jan. I’m watching this in November and have worked all the way through both lock downs so haven’t had the time to make your wonderful cards. I know of many people who have been affected by this awful virus and I’m sure many of them have been helped by crafting. As a health care worker I’m please to say that following guidelines has kept me and mine safe. Keep safe and carry on crafting. Thank you for dedication to teaching us. Beautiful again. So kind of you to put the US measurements for those of us on this side of the ocean.we do use metric here in Canada but I prefer the “old” way. I agree with you on the isolation, some restrictions were lifted here and some of us are waiting for the other shoe to drop. My family stayed at home and enjoyed the lovely weekend in the safety of our own yard. Take care and stay well. Always look forward to your videos.

I have all my Christmas cards birthday and anniversary cards all made with lovely different folds that you have taught me by watching your videos I’m from Northern Ireland so these were lovely folds of cards to try because everyone is still unsure when the lockdown will end

Going to make this card also for my mom's birthday, she will be 93 the 23rd of July so i plan on sending her more than 1 card. I made her the No 535 concertina fold card today July 4th and that came out really good so can't wait to make this one just waiting for my Poppy parade blends they should be here this week some time. So thank you for all your video's love watching you, you give such great instruction's. Watching from the U.S. An i'm so tired of this pandemic, wish it would be over so we could get back to normal. Fabulous card as usual Jan. I love the colours in both cards. Great to have crafting in these days of lockdown. Even though I can go out I only go once a week for physio and grocery shopping . I go for a walk in my locality every day and I do pilates on Zoom . Be safe. Keep crafting. 😘

Glad to see your video again. We been in lockdown here in the U.S.. But last Monday the Governor opened up some things. This Friday the Hair Salon open up. Restaurant with outside sitting. TY for a new card fold.

Beautiful card again, I really appreciate the way you take great care to explain every detail it is so helpful, I so agree with you about the lockdown,I'm really concerned we are going to have a second wave as there are a lot more people out and about now, the traffic where we live is almost back to normal and there are a lot of people walking around. I made this card with the Smooth Sailing and By the Dock bundles with nautical DSP. It turned out wonderful. I love watching your videos. They are so well put together. And so easy to understand your instructions. I feel as you do. I fear an other wave of the virus may overtake us again. I live in the western part of NY state USA. Buffalo is not too far from us and that area is heavily hit. It seems there are so many people more worried about the economy than peoples lives. I will continue with the safety of the lockdown without any quarrel. I pray daily that the government continues with the lockdown and doesn’t rush things along.
I magine your card looks super. @@patriciaweed6953 I did think about using that DSP and stamp set but I seem to have become hooked onto that set - it's so easy to use! Good morning Jan, Happy Mother’s Day! Another beautiful card! Try each day to do at least one card to either send out or keep for some other time and I’m getting ready to start on Christmas cards if this quarantine continues. Hoping to get out in the garden if spring ever comes, we had 7 inches of snow night before last here in Vermont! Thank God for my hobbies! Keep safe!

Jan, your card is beautiful as always! Love the manicure too! Try using a very sharp pencil or even a mechanical pencil to mark your “matching cuts.” You are off by such a small amount, it might be the rounded end of the lead keeping you away from the paper edge. Otherwise you could make the matching shape exactly the same as the first, using the side measurement and the score line. Thanks for the gorgeous design!

I made this card this morning with Sailing Home and By the Dock bundles and nautical DSP. It turned out wonderful. Your instructions were perfect and easy to follow. I totally agree with you. Lifting the lockdown too soon will only cause an other wave of the virus and then we will have to start all over again. I live about 50 miles from Buffalo NY USA were it is so heavily infected and loosing lives every day. For some reason people are more concerned about the economy than they are about people and want everything opened up again. I feel it is way too soon. I have to admit l am very fearful.

Here's a thought: Next time fold the strip in half and mark the outside, open end 2 1/2" from the bottom. Then line up the top of the scoreline and the pencil mark and cut. Both sides should be even at that point. Hope that helps. Poppies come in two shades of purple: Grape and Patty's Plum. Lovely card, by the way.

I hear you, Jan, about the concerns about opening up the country too soon. And yes, many of us may actually now be feeling apprehensive about going out because we've become so "used" to being cocooned (not sure if that's the right word, but you know what I mean). However, we may always have the virus with us (or some other threat may come along) and the idea of "safe" may become a paralyzing effect on the country.
It may never be "safe" 100%. But we can't stay cooped up in our houses forever. Doing so would mean that our immune systems would weaken and our fears will grow larger and larger. Not to mention what this would mean for the economy and people's overall well-being. So, let's put our trust in God, take our vitamin and nutrient supplements to strengthen ourselves (Vit. D, C, zinc and 10-20 mins. of sunshine at midday), continue wearing masks and exercise social distancing as needed.
But let's not become a fearful nation that will yield our freedoms and character completely to those who profess to be experts. I think you and I have lived long enough to know how many times the "experts" have been 100% wrong on many things - yet they never apologize or correct themselves. We, the people, have to take responsibility for educating ourselves, also, as the experts can only know so much.
Here's to our getting through this in Jesus' name and trust in His Word.
Hi, Piola. I appreciate the time you took to respond to me - I so appreciate your words of wisdom. And yes, you're 100% correct. My trust is totally in our Lord Jesus Christ and I will totally follow his guidance, which at the moment is to stay put. After seeing our packed beaches yesterday, there may well be another spike, so I'm happy to stay put.
