Hi Carolina! I "stumbled" onto your channel, and you are a treasure! My Mother started teaching me to cook and bake when I was 7 (plus mopping, waxing floors etc). Cooking and baking have always been my passion. I've tried fancy, etc but in the last few years I circled back to being a simple farm cook turning out simple but delicious meals. I spend between 200.00 and 300.00 a week for three adults on groceries. I live in NY and everything is super expensive for no reason. I don't know how people are doing it. If you need help, take it. There is no shame in it. I wish I had a food bank to help me with groceries when my kids were young. I appreciate you trying to help people make the most of what they have. I buy a few hams every year when they are on clearance after Christmas. i Get at least four meals, one is baked ham, one is fried ham for breakfast, one is ham crougettes, one is bean soup or ham and cabbage. Thank you for sharing.

I love channels that share my common interest of cooking, canning, preserving, gardening, livestock etc. In Texas, we smoke a brisket, and when we chop the burnt ends, we use it to stuff bacon wrapped cream cheese jalapenos. It is interesting American people think cumin is a Mexican spice. The Bible mentions it long before Mexico existed as a country, Apicius mentioned it in his book also, which is believed to be the first cookbook written down like recipes. The use of cumin was spread around Europe in the 13th century. I guess the Spanish took the cumin into the Americas, and it also was a long time ago. My Hungarian cuisine use a lot of cumin as well :) I love your videos by the way, you have great ideas of meals ❤

Can I recommend that you pan fry the enchilada/ burrito part till brown before placing in your dish for baking then baking with sauce and cheese. It's so good that way.
My hubby and I were really lucky that our son enjoyed spicy food quite early on, so I didn't have to tamp down the spice too much, and as he got a bit older his tolerance grew even higher than ours (and mine's pretty darn high, lol) 😅
Oh wow! I keep trying with mine so maybe one day they will be like your son! I could easily get out spiced. I don't enjoy actually pain from spicy! Haha

If you take the chicken off the bone after it's cooked, you can put them in the oven til brown or just put them in a pot & make bone broth fyi. Freeze it in portions to use for later use. Frugal Grandma tip lol!

Thank you for those great recipes. I've always been intimidated by enchiladas but after watching this I will give them a try. Also, I windered if you could make thecapple desert by just makingvthe cake mix as directed and pouring over the filling. I hate the dry spots I always get when making. Would making in crockpot be better because of the steaming effeft?
I think that would really good putting the pie filling down then pouring the prepared cake mix on top! Also crock pot is a good idea! Thanks for brainstorming on how to make it less dry! I love other peoples ideas! And give the enchiladas a try! Hardest part is learning how to roll up the tortilla!
Thanks for some new ideas and combos. I'm definitely gonna try the pasta dish and the chicken thigh and rice thing very soon; got a freezer full of bone-in chicken thighs, my favorites. I agree with you about the pepper jack cheese (seems like the only kind of cheese I buy these days) and the cumin. It all looked wonderful.
Another easy chicken recipe is take chicken breast one cup of mayonnaise a half a cup of milk and one package of ranch dressing powder mix all of them together for it over your chicken breast and you bake it 350 for 35 to 45 minutes you pull it out you add like a breadcrumb cheese topping put it back in for about 5 to 10 minutes just enough for it to Brown and melt and serve it over rice or over mashed potatoes

I was going to make chicken broccoli alfredo tonight but you just reminded me I have a dumper crop of zukes in my fridge. So thank you for that! Everything looks delicious 😀
What’s the deal with the chicken thighs in a jar? How long are they good for and do you always store your chicken like that? I want to try it, but I need to know the basics of this! Never seen anyone do this! Love your ideas
Mason jars are just a storage container! You can put anything in them! I find that they help keep food fresher longer because they are more air tight! Good question!
My Mom made dump cake when I was growing up in the 70s. She would very thinly slice a stick of margarine and completely cover the top of the cake mix. My sister hated dump cake when we were little and got into so much trouble one night when she exclaimed "I know why it's called dump cake. It tastes like something you would find at the garbage dump". I made one with butter recently and had the same dry powdery spots where there wasn't enough butter. I'll try grated frozen butter the next time.
Haha! It really isn't like a normal cake! Your sister's response is too funny! I prefer regular cake as well, but this is easy and quick for the family! I also like that you can do different flavor combinations!
It's a huge time saver in the kitchen! Got into the habit from working in commercial kitchens. I'm glad I did! Just cut up extra of whatever you are cutting and start there!

Thanks so much! 😊Glad you like them!
Can you use beans out of the pots and make refried beans out of that
Yes you can! Any cooked bean could be turned into a mashed one!
I was going to make chicken broccoli alfredo tonight but you just reminded me I have a dumper crop of zukes in my fridge. So thank you for that! Everything looks delicious 😀
Thanks so much! I have sooooo many zucchini!! I'm planning a stuffed zucchini boat recipe soon!
Some time I use refried bean in my
in your burritos?
As you can tell by my name… I love to cook as well
Please fill free to share any tips or ideas any time! I love hearing from fellow cooks!

Hello guys
We call that dump cake
yes dump cake is a popular name for it!
I love how you prep your foods and have already chopped produce ready for a recipe. I am terrible about that!
It's a huge time saver in the kitchen! Got into the habit from working in commercial kitchens. I'm glad I did! Just cut up extra of whatever you are cutting and start there!
U cook like me

I save bacon grease and I’m very stingy with it.
Why do u not wash most of ur food before cooking?
Which food in particular are you asking about? I don't usually wash the food on camera.
I love your videos and I’m glad I found your channel the only thing I wish is that you’d cover those tattoos while they are healing because it’s kind of disturbing! IM O
I'm not quite sure which tattoos you are referring too. All of them are over 5 years old. My butterfly tattoo is a water color so I can see where you might think that is blood. But its just the tattoo color!
Milk and creams do not make the eggs fluffy, water does. It's science. Check it out.
I'll do that! Thanks for sharing!
Wow!! You are so right! Cause it steams the eggs making them fluffier! I will be doing that from now on and I'll make sure to explain that to everyone! Thanks again for the correction!
Get some new nerves
What do you mean?
Don't you have cooking utensils and why are you so messy when you cook?
Yes I do have utensils and being messy is the funnest part!
