It is heartbreaking to see Ukraine sending soldiers of all ages, including very young individuals, to the front lines. This leads to tragic deaths and desperate attempts to flee to Russia for safety. This must end-no more lives should be sacrificed. It’s historically troubling that, while we have always honored the victims of Russia, we now suddenly declare Russia as the enemy. This war is a profound tragedy that violates the very essence of humanity. It needs to stop immediately, and peace talks must begin to forge a lasting resolution. I demand this as a native German who yearns for peace and justice for all.

Bless these doctors, the hospital, and the donors. Eyesight is so precious to us as humans. This is a great gift to try to heal the scars of war.
