Adi Kailash is a mountain in the Himalayan mountain range, lying in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand, India, near Sinla pass. Its appearance is distinctly similar to 'AUM'(ॐ). Opposite to this peak is a mountain called Parwati Muhar, whose snow shines like a crown in the sun.

Rational and practical is exactly what I am saying. One can see that the Ganges gives life. It waters the Gangetic Plain and waters the crops that feed million! Practical and visible.
You talk of some amorphous God who is not visible or provable that you claim gives a "gift" that kills. It is not me who is blinded.
Whether I personally am supported by Mama Ganga or not doesn't diminish her divinity. It is irrational to think her divine nature is dependent on me!

I haven't denied the divinity of the Tigris or Euphrates River.
I prefer the Spirit of what is demonstrable. I am not going in for your speculative amorphous hypothesis.
All scripture is descriptive rather than definitive regardless of how much truth one takes from them. Truth is certainly not a definitive (except to the one accepting something as true).
God is source of life-thus is Mama Ganga God. She is source of life. I have forgotten nothing about other rivers.
Where there is life there is death. Death is inescapable. That is a Truth you need to face. Our life returns to Her. She carries our life/death in her ever flowing existence.
So "God" gave teh river for mankind and "God" is life but this river "God" gave overflows and kills mankind? What kind of God do you believe makes a river to give to mankind to kill mankind?
