Just trying to confirm my understanding here. Usually we create service definition and service binding for a BO in ADT in S/4HANA or BTP ABAP environment. I think it should be also possible to create business service for a SAP delivered BO as well as of today. Now are you giving another way of creating business service which is via BAS here? Are you giving this feature to enable the UI developer to create business service directly from BAS in case no business service is available for the BO and no backend developer is also available to create the same in ADT?
Hi @mainakaich, yes your understanding is correct. This feature is to allow UI developers create a business service and not need to launch ADT in that case.
You can create a new UI OData V4 service out of existing BO. You can not create a new BO in this flow. Once your OData V4 service is generated you can consume it in your fiori app like any othe service from OData V4 catalog. Then preview and deploy to ABAP or HTML5 Repo.
