For sure, however you'd need to make some adjustments as you wouldn't be able to output directly to the laser as you would a projector. TouchDesigner prepares data for the laser via the Laser CHOP, and then sends data to the laser via the Laser Device CHOP. To generate data, the Laser CHOP expects either SOP or CHOP data, so the texture output of the mapping tools would need to be converted to one of those formats. To do this, you could take the output of the projection mapping tool that would normally be sent to the projector, and then use the Trace SOP to generate 3D geometry from the texture. Then you can add a Laser CHOP, choose SOP for the *Source OP* parameter, and then drag the Trace SOP onto the *SOP* parameter. To see an example of this setup, open up the OP Create Dialog by hitting Tab on you keyboard, go to the CHOP tab, right click on the Laser Device CHOP, and select OP Snippets. You'll see a very similar setup to what I've described here, except that it'll be generating a circle rather than tracing a texture. Hope that helps!
wow, does it mean I can use CamSchnappr to take a 3D scan (Polycam App) of a decorated interior space and use for projection mapping in a spacious open space where visitors can experience the decorted interior virtually remotely?
If I'm understanding your question, I don't think CamSchnappr is the tool you'd use for this. CamSchnappr is meant for projection mapping onto a surface that you have an accurate 3D model of, meaning that the 3D model and the projection surface are intended to be of the same space. If the decorated room that you took the scan of were the same room that you were projecting in, this _might_ work, but unfortunately I don't have experience with using a 3D scan as the model for CamSchnappr.
@@TheInteractiveImmersiveHQ I see! Would you know of any other methods to achieve what I described using TD? Perhaps the gallery space would require some partitions for the projection mapping of the decorated space to work.
@@ysy69 Hi, you might know this, but since you're interested I'll say this. Projection mapping needs an object to be projection mapped upon. It's not like a hologram in the star wars sense. Meaning you could project different colours or wallpapers into a blank wall. It would need to be white for the most options. Also you could, for example with white furniture, and multiple projectors, make it so they take on different looks of colour and materials. Hope this makes sense. Recap: You need some kind of structure to project upon 😊
Great question! For this to work correctly, you need one instance of the CamScnappr COMP per projector and a texture that is as wide as the final image that you’ll be projecting. Then, for each CamSchnappr instance, turn on “Output is Part of Canvas” and adjust the projector resolution and grid position before continuing with the normal process. You’re basically following the usual process, but instead doing it for each projector. Hope that helps!
Make sure you've selected the Mapping folder in the Palette, and you should see stoner as the second to last item in the list. Depending on your screen resolution, you may have to scroll down! It's also worth checking that you've updated TouchDesigner as well.

How about i want to map just one out top, but with different shapes in kantan mapper? (I mean i don’t want to map each scene individually
