I still don't like rotational aim assist, but the fact that it has been weakened is a positive. Curious to see how the game sounds now on my PC with my EQ settings, but we'll see how this game feels. Gonna try through game pass instead of buying outright.

in relation to the aim assist feeling weaker than the standard experience: it seems as if though its been balanced out by deterministic recoil patterns from what i was personally testing in the firing range. it seems that its no longer a recoil "trend" like we've seen in previous games with a vague "up and to the right" with multitudes of variance and bloom but an actual repeating pattern that can be learned and therefore mastered meaning AA is needed less as well
Oh yeah I agree, I remember seeing how many lvls each weapon had and thought “how is this preferable to the way MW was”. It’s such a chore to grind a single gun for so long, I don’t like it.
The corner slicing in 3rd person is surprising. It's so weird the character doesn't do what it shows you're doing. I mean... it's good for consistency, but it's still weird. Good research!

Until they change that it seems like the guy your challenging will see you first when you are slicing the corner as on your screen you will still see the wall until your camera is fully ariund the corner. So i can easily see people being confused thinking they died to a wall hacker or something when your body sticks out so much around the corner before you even have a chance to spot anyone before they spot you.
Love your content man and respect that you're open to AA nerfs even as a controller player yourself. Hopefully it will be nice for controller players too because of the increased skill gap as you say. Feel like most good players will be able to adapt and be as good at close range as before. It just means the people that heavily rely on it will finally have to start pulling their own weight. A step in the right direction imo.
That doesn't seem like the correct way to test the "lean" mechanic. It's entirely possible less of your body is exposed to get the same sight picture as with it off. You'd need to test against the same sight picture, not just the lack of animation. It's likely they move the point of view to the side of the character model
Nice to see everyone playing with SMG's and AR's while I still have to wait 7 more hours and get to spend 20 hours with pistols and launchers :p Also "ninja may be a crutch perk" it reduces noises, it's ALWAYS gonna be a crutch perk until Activision figures out they just need to make it the default so all other perks it goes against aren't instant F-tiers.
For corner slicing, I'd like to see the first-person perspective as well. But since you didn't show it, I'm guessing the moment you can see the enemy is about the same.

Ace, do you think movement and ADS times feel slower? I swear the game feels more slow and clunky than beta. Maybe that's just because I haven't setup perks like Gung ho and fast hands yet but idk I could swear something is different.
For the tap to slide setting: when you said it to long, won’t that create a big delay in the time it takes for your slide to register? Cuz the system will have to wait X amount of time to determine if your holding or tapping the button? I know pros don’t use this setting for that very reason, and the “long” setting will make that delay even worse
slight misconception! having them bound to the same button will create a delay no matter what. basically the difference is if you have them set to the same button, it only slides when you *release* the crouch button mid sprint, whereas if they have dedicated buttons, you will slide as soon as you tap crouch. so the delay setting actually doesnt matter
I do miss the Emergency Airdrop kill/scorestreak (the original 4 care packages one). It's strange they did not include it in Black Ops 6. Hopefully it comes with a future patch!

I’m currently playing this game and it is awful. Slow ttk but you die in like 2 bullets. Spawns might be the worst I’ve ever seen. New movement system is horrible. This feels worse than the beta did. I liked that but this feels terrible
I moved away from CoD a few months ago, but it’s nice to see that they at least nerfed it a little bit. Still, I believe it provides controller players with unfair inhuman consistency. As for the ds4 problem. I think that they should blacklist ds4 windows in general - So either the game doesn’t open when ds4 windows is open, or having ds4 windows open will result in a permanent ban.
12 people flying around the map fast af with crazy movement the spawns aren’t the best everything else great. I never expect the spawns to be good in 6v6 in this game though the maps are too small, you move too fast, and people don’t care about obj just flying from one side to the other. I think the game will be insane in 4v4 though less people to mess up spawns
The person who is watching will see the corner slicing person first basically as if they’re just coming around the corner normally not corner slicing the model stays the same. You can see like 1/3 of their body before they can even see you. Right now you’re at a disadvantage doing it it really isn’t worth at all at the moment.
It’s cod in 2024 spawns aren’t great all the maps in this game are relatively small so having 12 people on the map the spawns are everywhere. Ranked 4v4 is going to be great I think spawns will be way better 6v6 is not good. With these maps and fast movement I don’t think the spawns could be good in 6v6

I always go to New Zealand a few days before launch and download the game while there. If you try to go to NZ after launch it might be too late…but not sure on that. I’m currently playing while my Xbox is set to NZ and it’s working fine.

Stupid to even allow controllers to play with mouse and keyboard. Aim assist and all the other systems in place that assist the player is just so unfair compared to raw skill needed with a mouse. I like controller games too, I just don't think its possible to balance both input types where one gets nothing and the other has MULTIPLE tools assisting them and have it feel fair for everyone. Take a note from Valve who don't even support controllers in their shooters. Separate by input type. It really makes a huge difference. MANY of Xclusive Ace's builds I find are garbage with a mouse, but great with a controller.

You have your whole wrist arm to make adjustments on a direct input while on controller it’s a stick. That is an advantage of mnk so controller players got pissed bc mnk could laser insane so they added aim assist to make it even back even. They’ve slowly increased aim assist over time to where it is definitely overtuned now but it was needed at first. I’m a controller player but I don’t like this crazy strong aim assist.

The weapon XP is slow they need To make it a little bit more faster to level up your weapons.

AA should be link to gun recoil, guns with high recoil should have weaker aim assist.

the map design and spawns are so bad u can stand in the opponetns flag in dom and watch them spawn and kill them and 90% of the maps have spots to sit and watch people spawn from afar its atrocious rn
