- Metal Detecting with my dad at an old home site dating back to early 1900s.
He's using his 40 year old White's 6000/D and I'm using my 10 year old V3i. Checkout which detector performs best at the end of the day! - บันเทิง
Ive challenged some of my hunting partnes in the older San Francisco parks with my old analog Fisher CZ-6 with their newer Whites, Garrett, Tesorro, and other brand digital metal detectors. A majority of the time I was getting more good targets at deeper depths. I believe the reason for this was the 30 years experience I had with the old analog Fisher. Lots of experience and talent with an old machine will most always beat out a guy with top of the line new machine with average experience and less user time.
I now have Father’s Whites Coinmaster D6000 series 2 in a hip mount configuration. Great detector from 1985 and still runs great. Now you have me thinking of a side by side against my Whites MXT All pro.
Own a like new coinmaster that was made in 1981 along with several modern whites machines such as the DFX and MX-5. Got to say that although the old coinmaster still functions perfectly - its depth on coin sized targets is dismal at best. Even properly ground balanced the max depth on the old machine is about 4 inches on a quarter and 3 inches on a dime. While many may argue, in my personal experience the newer machines outperform the vintage stuff in depth capability at least 2 to 1. I've read from people who say they can pick up a dime on the old whites detectors down to around 8 to 10 inches, i honestly haven't seen anything even close to those numbers from the vintage machine
I have had the V3i for 5 years and it has a lot of bells and whistles, I payed $2,000.00 for the detector with wireless headphones. It wasn't worth the money. Single frequencies was ok, but multi frequency was worthless. I just sold it with the headphones for $750.00 and bought a Minelab Equinox 600 and it outperform the Whites V3i by a long way. I also had the Whites 6000 DI Series 3, It was a Great Metal Detector, I found a huge amount of silver with that detector. I think it would outperform the V3i. I also have the Nokta Makro Smimplex+ with version 2.76 , I payed $254.15 and it will outperforms the V3i. When Ken White Sr. was in charge of Whites Electronics they had the best detectors around.
I had my White's Spectrum XLT for a little over 27 years with no problem, and a great detector. Sold it to eventually buy a V3i, but never got around to it with having a Tesoro Silver Umax as back up. Looking back, and the way I hunt I could have gotten a Coinmaster Classic II skipping the bells/whistles of the XLT. That XLT was sweet, but I could have saved $550.00 going basic back then. LOL!
RIP White's 😢
Sick finds ! Good video 👍
I have a coinmaster 4/db mineral & metal detector, clever channel name.
Amazing metal detektor👍
Glad to be #77 awesome video. Keep digging!
Nice to see the new metal detectors find trash also...lol.....not much has changed.
I have my dad's 6000 like that. He is in failing health now and I don't get to detect with him any more sadly
😢
I have my late fathers 6000d in its case. Tempted to use it. Very scared to power it up as its a very sentimental keepsake.
Please use it. Your father would be happy!
Power it up for the capacitors sake.
Enjoyed the video and subbed your channel..
Thanks!
try a Whites 5900 Pro SL or 6000 Series 3 or XL PRO, it will outshoot that new detector
Have the older machine find the same target as the new one. Don't dig in between.

MXT Sport was latest, and last.
If you would have used a single frequency, like 5 Khz you would have beaten him. Whites multi frequency is horrible.
just got a hand-me-down v3i, whats wrong with the multi frequency? And what single frequency should I use?
@@LC-mq8iq Around 6 Khz for silver and depth.
Around 14 Khz for gold jewelry.
Around 20 Khz for iron relics.
40 Khz or higher for gold nuggets.
