Great scene from a great film. "Get the hell out of here! This is private!" The workies having their breakfast and reading the papers while the argument unfolds is a beautiful touch.
"You are so much less attractive when I'm sober." "Thank goodnes it's not that often." These two lines were the only thing I really remember from this movie. It's one of the best scenes. Money Pit, Splash, and The Man with One Red Shoe are classic Tom Hanks comedy and I wish I had them all in my DVD collection.
Possibly the funniest line in the film. Once when was watching this film with Spanish-language dialog I was especially waiting to see how they would say this line. But unfortunately it was lost in translation. Still oneof my favorite comedies in any language. "I ... love this film!"
I'm a great fan of Sam and Diane and have such a soft spot for Shelley Long. She still gets a lot of grief from many Cheers fans for leaving after five incredible seasons. They'll point out that her movie career did not fulfill expectations. Perhaps so, but she made enough films that were just plain fun and entertaining to ordinary people like me. She was a serious actress who excelled in comedy. Hope she knows her work is still enjoyed and appreciated.
Perhaps it would be tacky to say: BIG shades of Sam-and-Diane in this scene! Shelly at her "Drama Queen" best--and Tom Hanks hamming it up to eleven! And the guys all lusting after Shelley (understandable--she's always ultra-hot in red) is the icing on the cake!

It looks like she has had a little training on it, maybe she played when she was younger
She felt terrible and told him after he said he's understand..so instead of feeling like she had to hide it to save the relationship she felt safe enough to tell him..because of what he said..and she said it only proved how much she loved him afterwards..remember ..she thought she did it when she was blacked out drunk. And when he said he'd understand ..she was probably like..wow..what a great man..he can forgive me for making that huge mistake..and then..he flipped out...anyway..yeah..I don't blame him for losing it..but he shouldn't have told her he'd understand if she did bang him....because that's just bullshit lol Walter was insanely jealous of max..so yeah its no wonder he flipped
Darth Titanus did u see the movie? She was drunk and fell asleep. Max had her sleep in the other room. He lied to her making her believe she slept with him because he wanted her back.

1:36.... The main character only related with checks and money that they must pay for them.,. Which is such their busyness.... But it has nothing to do with main characters.... Because, simply isn’t their own miring....
This movie was great up til this point. It's almost like the writers were trying to get you to sympathize with Anna's character over Walter. It didn't matter that she "Didn't actually sleep with Max". What mattered was her demeanor while believing that she did. She acted like your typical hypocrite woman. Made a horrible mistake, and not only tried to write it off as insignificant, but expected Walter to as well. If the shoe was on the other foot, she and every human being with half a brain, a heart, or a soul would agree that she would be just as mad at him as he was at her. You didn't like her character for the first half of the movie. She was whiny, spoiled, and selfish to her core. You expected her to make use of her best qualities that she needed to find and become a better person in the end. This would've not only redeemed the insufferable nature of her character, but strengthened Walter's positivity, as well as their overall relationship. We didn't get that. You just hated her more. Yes, we ended up with the facade of a happy ending, but in reality, they should've parted ways. Walter was too good for her and she needed to grow up a little.
Those two were COMPLETELY, and wonderfully, different, although with the same hold on Sam, hahahaha. I can't pick one over the other, I don't know how you guys can.
