As of 2022, red dead redemption 2 has been widely considered one of the best games of all time by many people including me. Before I used to never care about rockstar but as I played gta v more, I love their games.

Zorgg Zan Well the problem with subjective and biased opinions is people often justify them with being rude and unfair. I personally hate the Witcher 3. It's slow, Geralt is just medieval Batman and combat is repetitive. However I do still believe it's a good game that just doesn't appeal to me.
The main issue with Rockstar is they don,t really try to innovate, sure Bully, Red Dead and GTA aren't totally identical for in term of time period BUT they are share the sandbox gameplay. Sometime I just hope the try something really new instead of keep it safe.

Alex Townley I've heard this argument too many times. Firstly, Ubisoft and the various devs have too many games in development at one time so resources and people are spread thin. On top of that, whereas COD can get away with yearly releases due to being fairly linear, AC games always feel undercooked and unpolished. An open world game should take 5 years MINIMUM. HZD took 7 years to make. 3-4 years means Ubisoft are putting out the bare minimum and can't be as ambitious as they like to be. That's why Unity was such a mess. Origins could have done with 2 more years as well, maybe then they wouldn't have copied and pasted those military bases all over the map and the game would be less buggy.
My Name is Nicky I put over 150 hours into AC Origins and I literally never experienced a glitch other than texture pop-in a few times. I also disagree about their resources being spread thin because Ubisoft Montreal specifically has over 3,000 employees.. they don’t have to have 1,000 or more working on one game at a time. Guerrilla Games has like 260 employees and they managed to make Horizon Zero Dawn a masterpiece imo. In a recent interview the game director said the final version of the game only took 2 years to make lol so. They spent the first 5 years just prototyping.
Alex Townley I also put in over 100 hours in Origins on my PS4 and I've experienced, crashing, stutters, frame rate drops (especially in Memphis), audio bugs, clipping and it goes on and on. Not to mention that one of the patches destroyed the draw distance which Ubisoft very well knew it would because that was needed to make the game more stable. If they had spent more time on the game they wouldn't have to do that. I've seen the documentary with Danny O'dwyer on how GG developd HZD and it's amazing how ambitious and determined they were. I also didn't get the impression that the actual making of the game took 2 years, please link me where the devs said that? Even if it did, the fact that it would take 5 years for the prototype shows how determined GG were to get it right.

Seriously Harmonix? Sure they made some great games like Guitar Hero 2 and Rock Band 3, but they also made Rocks the 80's and Amplitude 2015. Rocks the 80's being a full price cashgrab with less songs than GH2 and Amplitude 2015 with no licensed music and music that was just boring. Both bad games.

I’m a simple man. I see Rockstar Games on a “Top 10 companies that do good things” kind of video, I click.
As of 2022, red dead redemption 2 has been widely considered one of the best games of all time by many people including me. Before I used to never care about rockstar but as I played gta v more, I love their games.

Zorgg Zan Well the problem with subjective and biased opinions is people often justify them with being rude and unfair. I personally hate the Witcher 3. It's slow, Geralt is just medieval Batman and combat is repetitive. However I do still believe it's a good game that just doesn't appeal to me.

The main issue with Rockstar is they don,t really try to innovate, sure Bully, Red Dead and GTA aren't totally identical for in term of time period BUT they are share the sandbox gameplay. Sometime I just hope the try something really new instead of keep it safe.

I wouldn't call it bad, I mean at least it's a new star fox game. a lot of people had trouble getting used to the controls, but when you compare them to kid Icarus uprising's controls, they're perfectly normal. also, I managed to play the whole game without looking at the game pad.

I honestly have zero complaints so far with Insomniac games or Sony. Whichever company was behind the God of War Saga. But I can see how they didn't make the list, like where Insomniacs big hitters were actually easily inspired by Crash but Sony? Honestly, I don't know why the, excuse me, Santa Monica Studios, I don't know why they didn't make the list.
Sony tried to make a Halo competitor and it was horrendous cant remember the name though, for Santa Monica Studios it can be argued God of War Ascension was terrible and for insomniac some of the newer Ratchet games weren't up to par

Alex Townley I've heard this argument too many times. Firstly, Ubisoft and the various devs have too many games in development at one time so resources and people are spread thin. On top of that, whereas COD can get away with yearly releases due to being fairly linear, AC games always feel undercooked and unpolished. An open world game should take 5 years MINIMUM. HZD took 7 years to make. 3-4 years means Ubisoft are putting out the bare minimum and can't be as ambitious as they like to be. That's why Unity was such a mess. Origins could have done with 2 more years as well, maybe then they wouldn't have copied and pasted those military bases all over the map and the game would be less buggy.
My Name is Nicky I put over 150 hours into AC Origins and I literally never experienced a glitch other than texture pop-in a few times. I also disagree about their resources being spread thin because Ubisoft Montreal specifically has over 3,000 employees.. they don’t have to have 1,000 or more working on one game at a time. Guerrilla Games has like 260 employees and they managed to make Horizon Zero Dawn a masterpiece imo. In a recent interview the game director said the final version of the game only took 2 years to make lol so. They spent the first 5 years just prototyping.
Alex Townley I also put in over 100 hours in Origins on my PS4 and I've experienced, crashing, stutters, frame rate drops (especially in Memphis), audio bugs, clipping and it goes on and on. Not to mention that one of the patches destroyed the draw distance which Ubisoft very well knew it would because that was needed to make the game more stable. If they had spent more time on the game they wouldn't have to do that. I've seen the documentary with Danny O'dwyer on how GG developd HZD and it's amazing how ambitious and determined they were. I also didn't get the impression that the actual making of the game took 2 years, please link me where the devs said that? Even if it did, the fact that it would take 5 years for the prototype shows how determined GG were to get it right.

Forget how it looks, Witcher 1 has terrible combat, featuring some of the WORST aspects associated with turn based combat in a REAL TIME combat system.
Sorry, but wildly flailing your sword at things until either they or you fall down isn't good combat. I know there's more to it than that, but the swordfighting is just a dog's breakfast. MUCH better in 2 and 3.
It's just...There were fantasy RPGs at the time with better combat systems, is the real bug up my butt about it.

but as for the Witcher 1 It was a cult classic for some so it didn't really fail.
Definitely not a failure, and as with Dragon Age, the sequels massively improved on the combat overall.
