A beautiful example of Italian engineering. Almost better is an older Ferrari V12 with 6 double barrel downdraft Weber's. The trumpets are all visible, a work of Italian art.
Side draft to fit under the 350 GT hood. Ferruccio Lamborghini was a bit of a genius on the concept end. Hiring Bizzarini, Dallara, and I forget the third designer's name that was more involved in the body design, all pretty much genius' in their own right. Followed up by the Muria and the 4 seat Espada.
Sounds very sweet to my ears. I sure couldn't blame you if you just sat and listened to that engine. Beautiful engine and nice test stand. Enjoy your baby!
A piece of Lamborghini history to be sure! Just lovely. Back when they were strictly analog. With those side draft Webers, you can drive five blocks and need to re-jet…Ha!!!!

Nothing looks or sounds like a Lambo! I bet syncing up those carbs can be a royal PITA, especially if you don't know what in the hell you're doing! Thanks for posting!
That is a story...when I was asked to bring a 350 engine to Jay's Garage I was thinking what muffler to use. I spoke to Jay's friend and the Lamborghini Club officer Jim Fox. He told me, "don't bother", as there will be a Marine Lambo engine also. I thought that it would be neat and tidy to centralize the exhaust system. You can watch that video on Jay's site. th-cam.com/video/WUL8xQ0K-qs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=bc9upfCywCIb7DQu
Moteur magnifique et quel son !! Beau travail pour son berceau de démonstration mais on rêverait de le voir dans son écrin d’origine. Ah, et petite incertitude pour le remplacement des bougies..
Beautifully finished engine and run stand. Is this a fresh rebuild? If so, should the engine not be broken in immediately under load, such as on a dyno? Not sure if you already had her on a dyno, and this is just for exercise and leak checking before it goes into the chassis. A lovely job, thank you!
This is a true grown up man´s toy. It transforms fuel into noise. I´ll have one of those if i win the lottery. Although i just like the configuration with the carbs on top of the engine even better. But i get the point that this setup is for a lower silhouette of the front engine car.
I'll never understand why folks put these beautiful thing on a stand and just look at them ..their only function in life is to drive a car....so put it into car where its supposed to go and drive the CAR !!!
Actually that's a 12 into 4. The manifolds split into sets of three pipes. A true 12 into 1 has all 12 pipes meeting at the same place. It has been done, but it is very hard to do.
Yes and also thoroughly cleaned inside and out so that it has a thermal coating on the inside also. FYI: they are the original headers. Thank you are your comment!
Back in 1970, I had to remove the exhaust system on my dad's 1965 350 to fix a mechanic's improper (leaking) installation of the headers. After I finished reinstalling the headers, I just HAD to take it for a drive - pure music ! Unfortunately this then-poor college kid could not afford to buy it when dad sold it in 1971 for $5,000. Dad had met Mr. Lamborghini at the debut car show and because there were no Lamborghinis in the U.S. at the time, they cut a deal where dad got a good price ($9,000) and agreed to show the car at West coast car shows. I had the pleasure of doing concours-prep for the shows. What a pleasure to drive. I don't know if his car is still around, but 55 years later I could identify it immediately by a couple of alteration-fixes which were needed. Sigh!
How not to build 400 h.p. for 1 million dollars. 😅 The oversized 8.5 to 1 compression pos wil fit nicely into a kenworth. 😂 I'm sorry, I cant help but laugh at those things. 4000 dollar clutch release bearings. 😂😅. Must say it does sound powerful... rapps up quick... good sound 👌
Bizzarrini created a nice design and Dallara made the changes to make it for the street
I haven’t seen CRANE FIREBALL IGNITIONS in forever. Really cool to see them again.
There working well, also I have an NOS unit for a spare...Thank you for the comment!
They've morphed essentially into the F.A.S.T. ignition boxes.

Fantastic!
That's a interesting head design with the placement of everything.

That engine, that sound is a masterpiece.

I need that in my '84 Chevy pickup!!!
That engine is a piece of art but would provide no performance advantage over a mild small block 350. It makes less than 300 horsepower in stock form.
@markbunn8576 I'm ok with that, it would quadruple my trucks worth. Lol
