I love the way you demonstrate your projects! There's no blah, blah, blah. You just get right down to business. That makes me feel like I'm really learning a lot and coming away with something cool! Thank you for being a great instructor!!
Hee hee. That made my day. Yes, I try to only blah, blah, blah if I'm in the middle of already showing something useful. I don't want to blab on and on in between useful demos. Most of the time I keep personal info to a minimum, for live videos, for instance.
This is rather an amusing story, the last couple days I have been obsessed with hidden paper clips, and I was just finishing up one that I was quite happy with, and took a trip to the throne room. And as you do, I was pondering ways to make them more "book mark" like, for my son and his dad. I had seen those fancy magnetic book marks advertised not too long ago and I have some magnets that I was using for some other crafting I was doing years ago, probably the same magnets as you have. So I came back in here and was about to start a youtube video when I saw this video popped up staring me in the face! I almost missed it. I swear, the computer reads my mind.
Good morning, Lolly! I’ve been watching a lot of videos on hidden paperclips & your name popped up today! I’m so glad because the technique of making most of the fold lines on one side of the paper & then one on the reverse side is new to me & it’s a super helpful detail! And I love mini magnets!! They’re so amazingly tiny & strong, I use them on accordion envelopes to hold the flaps down! So I was thrilled to see them on a tab! I have subscribed & will probably binge watch some of your many (wowza!) videos! Thanks for a really cool idea! Erica❤
Thanks so much! Welcome to my channel! Yes, there is actually a science behind scoring and folding paper. It's not always possible to do so, but most of the time I follow the rule. This may help: th-cam.com/video/xGk-mEE9nGw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=wKXNM4ZlMn2l8fIq
You’re magnificent Lolly❤❤❤ You’re a great instructor, Crafter, inventor, vender, and the list goes on! TFS. God Bless You, and your laughter 😂too cute😊❤❤️
I love magnetic paperclips. I use to include them in cards or gifts. Back when I use to make them a lot I used the magnetic craft strips, didn’t have the little super magnets we have now. I really love the papers you used for these.
So cool! I wasn't even a fan of the bee theme before, and these look gorgeous and very cute (I have a granddaughter that will love them!) So many clever ideas and all of them clearly presented. You are a brilliant tutor.
Hi Lolly! Can’t believe your channel just now showed up on my feed but I’m thrilled to pieces to find your channel! You’re a really wonderful instructor and these magnetic clips are so awesome! Can’t wait to try this, TFS!!! Now a new subbie, too! 😉
Thank you so much, and welcome to my channel. I have a lot of videos for you to binge watch! You can start by watching the video link under this video :)
I'm not even a big bee fan, but these are really pretty. Nice job. Never would have thought of this option for tabs. I have been looking for tabs for a month where I live in Italy, and I have found absolutely nothing that is similar to the Post-it hard tabs that you can find in the US. They are all the flimsy ones. This is certainly a contender....now if I can find the magnets, I think I could try this solution. Thanks for sharing. You have a new subscriber.
You are so welcome! You can also use paper clips instead of magnets (expand the info under this video for the link to the paper clip version). Have fun!
I just found you and I love them! I’d like to do different ones for my Bible. You now have a new subscriber! I need to go look at your other videos. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks Lolly! That is so cool, and just adorable! And, I have a bunch of those magnets left over from an old project, as well as my favorite "Bearly Art" glue, thanks to you! So, I am ready to go...how fun! Lil hugs xo
Good morning. What a great video. I love making paperclips and am so happy that I found you! I've made about a dozen or so of your covered paper clips (the video that you have linked). They are so good. I can't wait to try the magnet ones. (Insert happy "scream"! 🙂) Thank you for sharing your ideas and talent. Great inspiration!
I love watching your paperclip videos. It is so much fun to see the variety of clips you make that coordinate with eachother. Thank you for sharing how to make them. These are absolutly darling.
Hi Lolly, I have just stumbled across your channel today. I absolutely love your work and I am looking forward to binge watching your videos, here in the UK. Many thanks x
LOVE the Bee things. Next love are Dragonflies. Actually saw one once. I was shocked at how big they really are. I've never seen another real one since.
I love this option! I am wondering what the paper size ends up being after you cut off the boarders. I think my printer margins may be different and I just and I just want to get them to the same size as your finished cut one. If you can share the finished dimensions (after cutting) it would be most helplful. Thank you!!!
@@LollyPalooza Got it! I played around a bit and I got them down to 1.5”x1.5”. Use same exact method as video. Cut to 5”. Score at 1”, 2.5”, 4 3/8”, flip and score at 3.5”
They are so cute, do you have a tutorial on using the magnets that you get free in mail of companies that your meant to to put on your fridges I also have leftover magnet sheets from storing my dies ❤
Hi Lolly, I really like the little cute bee card clips. Would it be possible for me to order a set of those papers & send them over to The Netherlands? I have no idea about the estimated costs (never ordered) but if it’s going to be(e)🐝 too costly do you have another suggestion for me to get the papers. Thank you. Warm winter greetz, MJ 💝🙋🏻♀️
They are digital downloads, so you go to the website, order them, download them to your computer, and you print as many copies as you want. It's way better (and cheaper) than buying paper and using it up. :)
Thank you! I bought these magnets recently. Can't wait to make some of these book marks. Just wondering what you might charge at a craft fair for these? I am in Wisconsin/mid-west, so we do not charge as much as anyone on either coast fyi. I am thinking $1.25 or $1.50 each???
It also depends on your buyers. Selling at a craft fair in a school, you should have lower prices. We have a lot of higher-end cities with craft fairs, and the prices can be higher. If you spend a lot of work on them, you can charge more, too, like $3 each
There is no link under this video, because I didn't use them for this project. On any video where you see me use them, there will be a link. I call them Paper Clip Blanks: www.lollypaloozacrafts.com/products/Paper-Clip-Blanks-Set-of-25-Paper-Clips-and-25-Blank-Backs/1496236043
My magnets arrived from Amazon. After making the wonderful tabs I decided to use 2 magnet sets instead of the 1 set. I found that they had a better strength with 2. 1 was ok but 2 was better. your opinion.
You would have to apply it in the location where there would only be one layer of card stock between the magnet and your book page. The biggest problem with magnetic sheets is most are extremely weak. When I use them, I usually place them on the inside of the design, so the magnets themselves are touching the book page, but to do that, you kind of need a design that opens up better. It would be hard to slide this onto a page if the magnets were on the very interior, touching the book page.

You have a paper clip art group? I bet it's great. Makes me wish I was still on Facebook!
I do! I started it many years ago when there weren't any paper clip groups. :) We have a little over 5,700 members now.

I wonder if magnetic sheet/tape would work just as well.....thinking...
It depends on the strength of the magnet. Most magnetic craft sheets are very low-hold. The magnet has to hold through several layers of cardstock
