Hee hee. That made my day. Yes, I try to only blah, blah, blah if I'm in the middle of already showing something useful. I don't want to blab on and on in between useful demos. Most of the time I keep personal info to a minimum, for live videos, for instance.
LOVE the Bee things. Next love are Dragonflies. Actually saw one once. I was shocked at how big they really are. I've never seen another real one since.

I love magnetic paperclips. I use to include them in cards or gifts. Back when I use to make them a lot I used the magnetic craft strips, didn’t have the little super magnets we have now. I really love the papers you used for these.

I'm not even a big bee fan, but these are really pretty. Nice job. Never would have thought of this option for tabs. I have been looking for tabs for a month where I live in Italy, and I have found absolutely nothing that is similar to the Post-it hard tabs that you can find in the US. They are all the flimsy ones. This is certainly a contender....now if I can find the magnets, I think I could try this solution. Thanks for sharing. You have a new subscriber.

My magnets arrived from Amazon. After making the wonderful tabs I decided to use 2 magnet sets instead of the 1 set. I found that they had a better strength with 2. 1 was ok but 2 was better. your opinion.
Yes, these seem a bit smallish. I added a link to a better size, but probably right after you ordered. :(

How would you adjust them to make them shorter? I love this tutorial!

@@LollyPalooza Got it! I played around a bit and I got them down to 1.5”x1.5”.
Use same exact method as video. Cut to 5”. Score at 1”, 2.5”, 4 3/8”, flip and score at 3.5”

I love this option! I am wondering what the paper size ends up being after you cut off the boarders. I think my printer margins may be different and I just and I just want to get them to the same size as your finished cut one. If you can share the finished dimensions (after cutting) it would be most helplful. Thank you!!!
Mine prints a 1/8" white border all around, so the final actual printed area is 10 3/4 X 8 1/4"

Thank you! I bought these magnets recently. Can't wait to make some of these book marks. Just wondering what you might charge at a craft fair for these? I am in Wisconsin/mid-west, so we do not charge as much as anyone on either coast fyi. I am thinking $1.25 or $1.50 each???
It also depends on your buyers. Selling at a craft fair in a school, you should have lower prices. We have a lot of higher-end cities with craft fairs, and the prices can be higher. If you spend a lot of work on them, you can charge more, too, like $3 each

They are digital downloads, so you go to the website, order them, download them to your computer, and you print as many copies as you want. It's way better (and cheaper) than buying paper and using it up. :)

I was looking for the little piece in which you inserted the paper clip. What do you call those? I don’t spot a link for those

Can one use the flat sheet of magnet? Maybe cut it to size?
You would have to apply it in the location where there would only be one layer of card stock between the magnet and your book page. The biggest problem with magnetic sheets is most are extremely weak. When I use them, I usually place them on the inside of the design, so the magnets themselves are touching the book page, but to do that, you kind of need a design that opens up better. It would be hard to slide this onto a page if the magnets were on the very interior, touching the book page.

Would e6000 work instead of powertack?
Yes. I used to use E6000 exclusisvely on paper clips, but I switched to Power-tac because of its lower odor.
I wonder if magnetic sheet/tape would work just as well.....thinking...
It depends on the strength of the magnet. Most magnetic craft sheets are very low-hold. The magnet has to hold through several layers of cardstock
I want to join your paperclip challenge, any special rules?
Since we also do two swaps a year, we require that members have been on Facebook for at least a year, use a real name (meaning not something like "Crafty Sue" or a business name), and do not have a blank profile (no profile pic, no cover pic, no visible posts). We ask two questions to each prospective member during the application process. :)
