India please do other BRICS countries a favour and just pull out of BRICS. If you want to be Americans lapdog, just go ahead but don’t try to play on both sides. BRICS are a group of self determined, independent countries and apparently Indian has been acting Differently and therefore sticking out like a sore thumb.

India just offered their souls to the US on a golden platter. Not surprising since it's already in their DNA that they lack the confidence and ability to stand up and be independent mentally and economically. It's like taking one step forward and 15 backwards. Visited both India and China after a break of 5 years. The difference is incomparable. India had hardly moved while China's growth is huge. So India will be India forever regardless of who they align with .

This is a very good assessment. India has a long way to go before catching up with China. India does not figure high in Trump’s world view despite whatever Modi may think about his personal relationship. India is not a great power and has probably missed the bus because it lacks a coherent vision, policy and execution. US would like India to reduce its tariffs. Would India be willing to do that? And US is not going to beat the Chinese. US share of global manufacturing has fallen from 50% in 1945 to 16% today. China generates four times as much electricity as the US today. It is unlikely that the US will catch up. India’s future lies in aggressively building capabilities in AI and not pursuing populist policies at home. I am not very optimistic.

India's constant asking for help from others (eg in high tech) really says it loud and clear that India is unable to do anything by itself. It loses respect. Nobody wants 'strategic alliance' with a country they don't respect. I say to Chai Wala 'Learn the basics of human behaviour first'. Really I think BJP is unsuited to power.

@@surfspark Well thank you for asking. Try AAP or even Cong. Yes, Cong has never been a revolutionary force and in fact was disgraceful for decades when running the economy. However it steered India well internationally at difficult times. Also, it's still run by the Nehru family. But voting AAP may be too much of a uphill struggle for people and time will be lost building up the party. It can however be an alternative to Cong. The BJP however is divisive internally on religion and caste. It's backed by RSS and wealthy and poor Hindus alike who want Hindu renaissance some 500 years too late. In doing this they will drag India back to the dark ages. The time of literal untouchables and widow burning. The poor, of any religion, will get nothing out of it. The rich will get richer which means the poor will get poorer. Abject poverty will be widespread.
Internationally, Chai Wala is aligning India with the US. The US is now an oligarchy. As its rich are getting richer so its poor are getting poorer who are now desperate. It has NEVER helped a country unless it was for its own reasons. So Western Europe against Eastern Europe and USSR, Israel against Arab Middle East and Japan and Korea against China. The US will also not allow India to bypass it - EVER. And Israel will NEVER allow India to replace it. India needs to be closer to China. It needs to have a strategic alliance with China. India must be prepared to give a little so that it can later take a lot. China will then pull away from Pakistan. India must NOT see China as a competitor but a partner. China has produced a miracle within 40 years. This is something the US has NEVER done. Nor has any other country. The US took hundreds of years and slaves and immigrants and the murder of millions of natives. India MUST learn from the only country that knows how - China.

The system is rigged and designed to favour US. Everyone will fall prey to debt, be it Europe or Britain. If you don't believe me, watch how many economies collapse or destabilize in probably next 10 years in Europe. China is the only one which are able to deal with US since China is the only country on this planet which is self sovereign. You cutoff them from the world through sanctions, still they have everything to survive. No, the basic ethos of Bharat as a nation is not to use brute force to coerce other countries to dance to its tunes but to achieve a state of mutual cooperation to thrive and survive to each population's liking of that country. But global powers are ruthless in the sense that their vision of being a power means that everyone should bow to their requirements at the cost of being barbaric to their populations. Hence it will take a lot of time for all the people of india to understand these concepts of superpower and to start engaging with the world in that manner. The business class and the elites understand this and hence are perceived to be going against the population wishes. E.g. when Europeans reached america, they annihilated the local population but in India, we don't displace the natives from the forests or their specific dwellings to do mining on those lands. So we indians have a long way to be anywhere in the reckoning. We are somehow fine with it coz we don't want the culture revolution that china went under Mao.

The United States and the West have played a significant role in shaping India’s defense vulnerabilities during the last three terms of the BJP government. The potential fall of Sheikh Hasina in Bangladesh appears to be a strategic move by the U.S., seemingly aimed at pushing Bangladesh further into China’s sphere of influence. Similarly, the U.S. and its Western allies are pressuring Pakistan’s military establishment toward global isolation, effectively driving it closer to China, with the risk of becoming another North Korea-like state.
Once China successfully encircles India from all sides, India may find itself with no alternative but to align with the U.S. and the West, thereby becoming a more effective tool in their strategy against China. The question for India is whether it will uphold its democratic values and maintain an independent foreign policy or succumb to the U.S.’s geopolitical agenda, as nations like Germany, Japan, and much of Europe have seemingly done in recent times.
Historically, India has balanced its relationships with multiple global powers, and it is likely to continue this strategy in the future. However, this approach could inadvertently accelerate India’s isolation within South and East Asia, serving U.S. interests. At this critical juncture, India requires visionary political leadership to protect its 77 years of effort to emerge as a global power. Without such leadership, India risks becoming a satellite state of the U.S. and the West, undermining its long-term aspirations for sovereignty and regional influence.

    Unfortunately India ignoring history.
Unrealistically emotionally against China ( jealous) overall socioeconomic development.Instead considering history priorities to socioeconomic development of country to cooperation with other developing countries.Competitions policy fine but conflict and allies with destructive groups no way better for India in future.
Most of the people and countries prioritize peaceful development after long suffering by greedy nations.
    Good luck Indian.
Thank and appreciate for your timely realistic geopolitical analysis presentation.
