Part 4 - Pujya Bhaishri's Shiv Katha at Rameshwar from 9 June to 16 June 2014

A divine Shiv Katha by Pujya Bhaishri, for the first time, was organised in the holy city of Rameshwar from 9 June to 16 June 2014 in two sessions by Shri Hiteshbhai Patel and his family. Around 2,500 devotees from India and other countries joined this Katha. On the eve of the Katha, a blissful Rudra yagya and abhishek was performed in the katha pavilion. The next day, the Shobha Yatra left in a chariot joined by many saints and reached the katha venue in an atmosphere charged with high devotion for Lord Shiv. Thereafter, the auspicious lamp was kindled and speeches by various saints given followed by the beginning of the narration of the Katha. Pujya Bhaishri first explained the importance of the place Rameshwar saying, "This is the divine place where Lord Shri Ram Himself established the Shiv linga, which was then called Rameshwar. Lord Ram first created the bridge on the ocean and then ritually established the Shiv linga. This means that Hari and Har are present where there is a bridge, i.e. unity". During the katha Pujya Bhaishri also said that God sees an endeavourer's place and position. Shri Ram-Rameshwar are installed when an endeavourer's place stabilises and he becomes worthy. Lord Shiva is the Yogishwar and Shri Ram is Yogeshwar. This is a wonderful meeting and combination. Lord Shiv is trust and Maa Parvati is faith. The worship of Shiv-Parvati brings trust and faith in life. Pujya Bhaishri also narrated and explained the significance of the holy kathas of Goddess Sati, Shri Ganesh and the ego of sage Narad. Shri Laxminarayandev Peethadhipati 1008 Shri Rakeshprasadji of Vadtal graced the katha on the concluding day and conveyed his blessings for all. This eight day Shiv katha was a spiritually invigorating experience for all.
