Thank you for making this video Debbie! Your video was so helpful. We’ve watched all the informational videos. But your videos regarding the LAL+ gave all the practical information my husband and I were wondering about. So thank you for taking the time. I’d never seen your channel. Because of these videos, we subscribed. I’m looking forward to watching your other videos. You’re such a sweet personality. We enjoyed watching your videos. We really do appreciate you posting this. It really out our minds at ease.
Aww, thank you so much for such a kind message. You made my day! I am so glad it was helpful. This is not my normal content but as I was trying to find out as much as I could before cataract surgery, I just couldn't find a lot of personal experiences so I wanted to share mine to hopefully help others. I tired to get my husband to share his too, but I couldn't quite talk him into it! :) We both had wonderful experiences and are so glad that we had cataract surgery. I was pretty apprehensive at first, I even put it off for a few months due to worrying so much about it. Now, I can't believe I ever hesitated. It's amazing how much it has improved my daily life. I wish you and your husband the very best and hope you are both as happy with the results as we are with ours! :) Thank you so much for subscribing and for your kindness!
Wow! That was fascinating!! The body is so insane the way it works and heals, etc. I'm so glad Eye #1 was a great success and that you are enjoying the clarity and colors! You have me looking out my window wondering if I'm seeing colors the way they "should" be ...ha ha!!! Also, when you were showing us the eye patch thing that you wear at night, and you showed that you got a second kit, for a split second I was wondering if you were going to say that you didn't need the second kit so you sold it on Ebay!!! Hee, hee!!! Have a great day! Looking forward to watching Part II soon, I see you released it already!!
Hi Dawn! Thank you for your kind words. It feels like a miracle - the difference really is incredible! That is funny that you were looking out your window at the colors! I bet and hope you are still seeing very well and accurately. I think we are about the same age…I just deteriorated really early! 😂 lol Oh my goodness…..you read my mind! I actually looked up comps on EBay to see if I could sell the post-op glasses because I have sooo many of them! 😂 That is hilarious that you said that!!! (And I think there is a small market for it, I might list a couple!) Thank you for watching even when it was outside of reselling! 💕
Hello Debbie, I am just at 2 days now recovering from the LAL surgery on both eyes. I was -12 in my right eye and -5.5 in my left eye, after surgery I was blown away I could see so well with my right eye, but still fuzzy in my left eye, fast forward just two days and both eyes are starting to be clearer for distance not so much for reading yet. I’m looking forward to healing up over the next couple of weeks to see if the distance vision improves , I did have the same initial side effects you had but did clear up. I did end up having some positive dysphotopsia flashing yesterday. It seems to have gotten better today, I also did have quite high-pressure in both eyes, but like you medication has made the pressure come down really appreciate your videos explaining the process as there’s not a lot of information from regular people that had the LAL done Thanks so much! Look forward to more videos!
Hi! Thank you for your kind words. Congratulations on your cataract surgery and getting the LAL lenses. That is awesome to hear that you were blown away by the vision in your right eye. I'm so glad your vision is clearing in your left. There is so much change in the beginning during the healing process. I panicked a few times when I thought something was wrong, but it all worked out and I learned that some of the things that I worried about were just normal as the eyes healed. I'm sure that was concerning with the positive dysphotopsia flashing yesterday, I am glad that it is improving today! It can be a little scary in the first week or two, but wow the outcome is absolutely incredible! It's been 5 months for me now and my vision is crystal clear close up, mid range and distance. I still notice things almost daily that are a huge improvement in quality of life! I am sure you will experience that too! My husband had his cataract surgery with LAL lenses about 9 months ago and his results are incredible too. I'm sorry you also are dealing with the high pressure. I'm glad that you are able to get the pressure to reduce with the medication. Mine stayed elevated through the entire process, but my doctor checked my optic nerve after and said there was no damage. So, I was relieved. My local doctor that I saw for checkups told me it takes a long time with high pressure to damage the optic nerve. He told me this short of time would not damage it, so that gave me a lot of comfort! I am not sure if you saw, I have 3 cataract surgery videos...the last one is about the adjustments. It was a piece of cake! It really dialed in my closeup vision. I can see super small print now! So, you will be amazed when you get your adjustments! I would love to hear more about your progress in the future. I wish you the absolute best results!! Take care, Debbie
Hello Debbie, sorry I didn’t reply sooner, I wasn’t able to be on the phone or computer at first and now it’s been a few weeks, so glad to hear you and your husband experienced great results! I hope was pretty happy with the initial results 4 weeks after surgery but my left eye was too strong 20/60 and my right eye was 20/15 so my vision was a little off but could see very clear far away. Close up not so much. I went for my first light treatment and 24 hours after we went to my first concert that I could actually see the band on stage (never in my life has that happened wearing contacts or glasses 🤓) I was so excited!! The next day I had a 4 hour drive to go play a show (I’m a drummer) and I could see the crowd faces perfectly clear and be able to read a set list of songs without lights and squinting !! Once again so excited. Yesterday I went in for the second light treatment and myself and the Dr came to the conclusion if I didn’t want to see this good far away and take away that distance vision to be able to read small print we should leave my eye treatment the way it is. 20/15 in my dominant eye and 20/30 in my right eye. So we decided to go for my first lock it. That was a different experience with all the bright lights and this morning I’m seeing a bit of a rose colour in white lights. They say that should go away before next weeks final lock in. Overall I’m very happy with the results of clarity & clearness I see now. The only discomfort I had was when they install that lens to do the light treatment, that felt kind of strange. Otherwise I’m excited to loose the big UV blocking glasses and be able to wear real sun glasses. That’s basically where I’m at now. Take care and thank you so much for replying! Chris 😎
Hey Debra! Thank you for doing this video. I was wondering what your prescription was before your cataract eye surgery. Also, did you wear 'Transition'(tri-focal) lenses in your glasses? Thank you for the information.
Hi Debbie!! I watched the 2nd video first!! lol this is fascinating!! I cannot imagine not having good vision!! I wear glasses to read and drive but they set on top of my head most of the time!! Thank you for sharing your journey with us!! I hope your vision is perfect when you completely heal!! ~Tammy
Hi Tammy, You are so sweet to watch even when this is not even an issue for you! 🤗 Thank you for always being a wonderful supporter and friend! Yes, I now don’t know how I have functioned all this time…I didn’t know how much I was missing out on before! I’m so glad you have great vision and just need glasses occasionally! Thank you so much again!! 💕
