    I was able to cut through my faux leather with glitter htv already on it by using the canvas setting and the rotary blade with more pressure. It usually cuts through all the way the first time but only once I had to do a double cut. I put the faux leather face down on strong grip mat with tape. It was faux leather I ordered from Amazon. I love your yellow stripe one!

    Can you just press out the htv on the back, and cut the whole sheet of faux leather at once?

    • @AmyRomeu
      @AmyRomeu  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can, but I find cutting a whole sheet at once (especially for beginners) can lead to problems with the cuts. If you are experienced at making single cuts and getting great results with your specific material, you can definitely do that.

    • @AmyRomeu
      @AmyRomeu  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, Monique! Yes, you can! I would use an EasyPress or traditional heat press in that case (instead of the EasyPress Mini) so you get really good, even pressure and heat. Also be sure to press again after you peel off the clear transfer sheet from the vinyl just to be sure the vinyl has adhered really well to the back of the faux leather.

    • @AmyRomeu
      @AmyRomeu  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, for vinyl on faux leather I use 265 degrees for a regular EasyPress in 10 second bursts of time. I check to see if the vinyl is adhered well, then press again in 5 second chunks of time as needed. Same thing for EasyPress Mini - I use the Low setting. :)

    • @AmyRomeu
      @AmyRomeu  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, Ivonne! I would use some flat nose pliers and gently try to pry open the jaws of the keyfob clamp from each side. You can wrap the clamp with a paper towel first to keep the pliers from marking up the metal clamp.

    What is the purpose of the heat transfer vinyl on the back?

    • @AmyRomeu
      @AmyRomeu  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi, Mary! Thanks for your comment. The HTV on the back is optional, but it does a few things. It makes the back look more finished and not just the material backing, it adds a little more structure to the faux leather, and it can add some interest or a pop of color to the inside of the wristlet. :)

      Hi, thanks for your comment. You are certainly able to adjust the settings for your own cuts. For beginners, I recommend cutting one shape at a time to learn how the machine cuts and to troubleshoot any issues that come up. I also like to leave room for painter's tape on the edges.
