really big help! thanks so much for sharing all this info! i mainly needed to understand the rotations concept since i don't come from a radio or radio automation background.
i did struggle with the sweeper and repeat rule configuration, could use more info on that stuff, cause i'm running a one artist radio of my own music which creates a weird issue... but i did get it working through trial and error, though not entirely sure why... i'll prob resolve this over time as my library expands... either way, great video and thanks again!

Hey, great job on these videos! When adding spin count instead of priority number, when you make rotation, how do you list it? priority, random, least played? If i have one for 20 spins, i want to make sure it spins 20 times that week. Then each week you have to change the calendar date span as well correct? Thanks for your help and great tutorials!

Hey man, awesome breakdown of the basics. I learned to navigate the radiodj thanks to you... I was wondering how are you streaming. Are you streaming with shoutcast? I cant seem to connect the shoutcastv2 with radiodj I've used the altacast plugin update for radiodj_1.8.2. I cant seem to input the user field in credentials and cant input my Station ID because value doesnot go over 100000. Can you do a video for connecting your radiodj. Would be great if you can help! Curious as to how you can set up voice over files that would pad the underlying music and return to full volume when the voice is done...
I must say, I would love to see radio software to work more like radio used to be. BAsically, an extended version of Club DJ software like Traktor. Where you can fade in/fade out and cue each song and jingle on a specific channel rather than have one output.
Am a more "on the fly" DJ who like to do it the way it was done back in the day of cart machines and CD players. Even digitally, have a proper USB controller deck that lets you control the entire software.

In RadioDJ someone knows how to put on sweepers speed range without having to shuffle the intro or end of the song? That is, instead of the program choice, I place the sticker A or B? Thank you
What's the best setting for the volume? I usually set it on 1, but notice when I close the app and reopen it it's much softer. I have to set volume to higher then again to 1 to get it how it was.

Could you please describe the difference between the track types? I understand some tracks overlay (Music for example), and some don't (Commercials for example). And what does repeat rules mean in the track rotations? Thanks in advance.

Question. Is there a way of refreshing the playlist? I have a news bulletin that gets dropped into the news folder. Theses are always at different lengths. The problem I find is, the length does not update in the playlist, so if the next news bulletin is longer, its going to cut off. This happens with weather as well.

Thank you for the video. I want do play top of the hour commercials but I don't want to wait for the song to finish. I want the commercials to interrupt the song. For ex: I want the commmercials to start at 11h56m25s before the hour in a way that the beep and a voice track (time) plays at the exact time zero (12h00m00s) and then play the rest of the commercials after the hour. At the rest of the hour ex: 15m, 30m, 45m the commercials wait for the song to finish but I don't want that to happend at the exact hour. Radio DJ doest that? Thanks.
In scheduling events is it possible for it to cut in on what is playing so that the event starts exactly at the time you set it to start?. At the moment I do not seem to be able to do that.

Dr. J, if one wants to add tracks to a rotation(s), can the tracks be added while AutoDJ is running, or should it be shut down, tracks added, and then AutoDJ restarted?

Hey DJ, Can Radio DJ run hour clocks, where it would play an hour clock till the top of an hour, then finish the current file its playing and re-set to a new hour clock when that last file (song) finishes?
I've been using Tune Tracker system, but it freezes and gets lots of errors.
Pretty simple, I just use two hour clocks (even hour/odd hour).
Also, would I be able to connect to the Shoutcast server through Radio DJ?

i have used radiodj before and had no problems putting the encoder in it and would work. now for some reason the encoder is not connecting. can you do a tutorial how to apply an encoder to radiodj?
