uhhh I've just had a lotta xuanli/jin fam feels recently and wanted to edit my heart out for them T_T i know jin zixuan was a dick for like most of it but he really did fall in love w yanli later and they were so so happy and he literally said word for word he'd take care of her for the rest of his life,,,and when he died i was like "Nooo don't die your so sexy aha"
anyways who knew it'd be cut short for both of them T_T poor bby jin ling
i know most of my mdzs amvs are the same (even length-wise always 1.3 some seconds LMAO) but i still cried a lot editing this so i hope u all suffer along w/ me - บันเทิง

I was doing so well and then jIN LING OUT HERE CALLING HIS DEAD PARENTS HE DOESN'T EVEN REMEMBER!!!
I actually liked Jin Zixuan. He is one of those neutral characters who was who he was because of how he was brought up and did have character growth.
When the first meet this person, he is this mean Obnoxious person who throws Wei Wuxian and his family out of the inn.
We also get very mad at him when he bad mouths Yanli.
But later in the caves he actually stands up for mei mei and even Wei Wuxian is Impressed thinking this peacock is not just all show.
He even helps A-Cheng to get Wei Wuxian out of the cave.
As far as I remember it was he who was representing the Jin clan during that war against the Wen Clan and when everything was over his father his came in and took all the glory.
Again he becomes in ahole when he scolds Yanli over a misunderstooding.
Then he becomes super cute when he confesses to Yanli and get all flustered and runs away.
I think it was him who wanted to invite Wei Wuxian to his son's one month celebration to make Yanli happy.
And when Wei Wuxian is fighting with his a-hole cousin (you know because he is cursed with holes) , he doesn't take any sides and just ask both of them to shut it up.
When everyone is scared of Wei Wuxian at that moment, he walks to him as if he is his some old annoying classmate saying *"Chill down bro, let's go Yanli is waiting"* .
Oh my god the expression he gives when he dies , to Wei Wuxian, like asking "why?? I just wanted you to attend my son's one month celebration".
They truly deserved more...😭😭

I’ve always seen Jin Zixuan as William Darcy from _Pride and Prejudice._ Proud, spoiled, pompous, and rich-but then he meets the woman that will become the love of his life because she subverts his expectations. And after that, he becomes such a sweet guy. ♥️
Jin Zixuan just happened to fall for more of a Jane Bennett rather than an Elizabeth Bennett, as Jiang Yanli is so sweet, but he really does fit William Darcy’s character development.
I'll always be sad they never got to see Jin Ling grow up, and that he never got to truly know his own parents asjakfl.

Np! And haha no worries. I’d definitely recommend it, as it’s one of my favourite classics, although I realize classics aren’t for everybody. Darcy really is one of the earliest tsundere characters though and since he’s also rich and at first has trouble expressing his love, I one day had a light bulb moment and tied him to Jin Zixuan. xD
He and Jiang Yanli didn’t get as much screentime for their relationship as they could’ve, and yet they’ve still become a very adorable, sweet ship. I agree that the way he’s so blown away by her kindness and strength is adorable. ♥️
And again, np! It really is a gorgeous edit and it’s rare to see one for Xuanli so I love it a lot!
I agree with your comparison of Jin Zixuan and WIlliam Darcy. Darcy actually admitted that he does not know how to express his emotions which is also true in the case of Jin Zixuan. If You would watch the film version, there were scenes between Darcy and Bennett that are similar to that between Yanli and Zixuan such as the carriage scene, when Darcy asked Elizabeth again about her feelings. The difference is between ELizabeth and Yanli's reactions as they really do differ in nature as Yanli is actually more similar to Elinor Dashwood of Sense and Sensibility.
