I'm an young artist and the place where I got my inspiration and the person that made me get so good at art was you..really you are my true inspiration..

She was lucky to have parents who supposed her from the age of 4. Some people were critical of her father for selling prints of her paintings and making money off them for the family to live on, but I knew that Akiane was happy to help her family and she knew she'd make a lot more paintings.

I got a word yesterday that I’ve been stuck inside a fence (and I didn’t even know it), and that the stairs God wants me to climb is outside of it. We are all much more special than we may have been led to believe. Each of us has the ability to create a wealth of freedom, but we must fight, moment by moment, through the darkness for it. Thank you for the embodiment of this power we all possess in the wondrous work of art Akiane. (And many thanks for sharing the process as well)
The freedom we desperately seek is the awareness that we have the power within to chose to free or to be bound by self-limitation. We create our darkness as much as we create the light to dispel it. We are gladiators fighting the battles within ourselves.

Beautiful statement of freedom, this painting, imbued with golden rays of love brighter than the image itself. Freedom invites to be received freely!-it blazes from the torch of the elucidated mind and reveals the cosmic portal to an identity perpetually complete and intrinsically protected, overflowing with abundant soul waters, untouched by the illusory judgments and corruptions of the world. Always there, freedom never ceases to beckon, always equally free to all!
Your painting leaves for us the mystery as to what freedom is being stepped into...what is it like?...what makes it freedom? It seems this man has been a warrior, one familiar with conflict and enmity, but the torch light draws his steps somewhere new, toward true freedom.
When I see him step toward the portal, I see humanity reconciled to remember our unity as one body of many parts, with the basis for conflicts and misunderstandings dissolving away in the brilliant golden light that invites life and love to flow abundantly in all. And with no one having any lack, the causes for conflict are brought to naught, availing us to drop away all our masks we use to protect our identities, so that we can flow in the direct beauty of experience and connection with life-the native state of our souls-freedom.

Akiane, As a Christian, a scientist, a trained warrior, a Peace Corps Volunteer in Africa, a father and husband, a science teacher and historian: I have come to believe THE WAY forward to make life better for humanity is NOT simple and requires our species to not only LEARN THE LESSON of HUMILITY but incorporate it into our rapidly emerging global digital culture. I fear the consequences will be serious if this cannot be accomplished. I have been trying to write a cautionary novel for years. My point is that the brave alphas carrying the torch must realize progress from here amounts to an internal awakening of global leadership into another world that only exists in our hearts and minds. The path to the left was easily traveresed by the traveler had he foolishly chosen it for that is the way that many choose to go because it is easier and virtually requires no decision making or real commitment to anything or anybody. Following the pathway to God's Kingdom requires strength & commitment to His Ways, His Laws. Sometimes it's at the cost of leaving friends and family behind to serve God and put on "The Whole Armor of God." The path to the right however, was much less traveled but if you trust in the Lord the Holy Ghost will serve as your compass in "All Things both Great & Small" and soon enough thou shalt find thyself in His presence and in His Kingdom to recieve that mansion that He hath prepared for "All" His children that call Him Father and it shall be well with them, in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
