    Ben, you’re the man!! Enjoying your videos. I just purchased a 2019 F56 a month ago. I bumped up the ASD as you described in this video. WOW!! SOUNDS GREAT!! Reminds me of the fun I had in my 425 horse Chevy 50+ years ago. I’ll be 74 next week, but still young at heart. Keep up the good work!!!

      Hey Tom, I also have a 2019 mini Cooper S, I have done a few things with BimmerCode but one of the awesome things was having my fog lights on while highbeams are on, and then also when you have your low beams on it dims the angel eyes to 49%, I bumped it up to 100% so the angel eyes are super bright when driving at night along with my low beams it looks beautiful

    It works! Also, the impression that I have is that the previous owner somehow had it deactivated but now it's super loud.

      Ahh! Thats fantastic! May be something worth passing to others then if it’s due to it being deactivated by someone else. Thanks for the update 😁

      @@BenRolfe It also works with the North American B46, no issues. Only problem now is that the JCW valved exhaust is less noticeable, because, well, the car got louder...

    • @BenRolfe
      @BenRolfe  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Makes sense, I think it’s one of those things where you either like it or you don’t. Because I have the stock Cooper S exhaust with resonator delete I don’t mind it at all, but if you spend money on a decent exhaust the last thing you’d want is to cover the sound up.

    • @SouthLincsMiniOwnersClub

      I suppose it's a great sound for passengers but the fancy noise from the exhaust is for spectators.

    Hi ! Thank you for your super informative videos. Do you have a page or a link for the combinations of ASD that works on Mini F56 JCW? In particular to know if we can put a noise of M4 or certain BMW in the place of the current sound? And also would you have an explanation of the different code names present on the application, especially in the ASD part? Thank you so much !

    OK, so in removing the small fabric panel from the boot panel on driver's side, I have determined that in fact; I have the ASD module.
    So now I just need to find a person who has a '19 F55/F56 S (LCI) model that has ASD working so that I might be able to copy the settings they see when in Bimmercode. Some of you don't like/like ASD. I have it (physical device installed) and want to at least experience the effect so I can determine if I like it or not.
    Thank you!

All the codes now read as yours, but I’m struggling to hear little if any differences between green and sport! 🤷🏼 is it possible mines broken or disconnected! Iv noticed on my parents JCW when you switch from normal to sport there is a audible change in the engine note! That has standard exhaust so no valve. I’m at a loss as to why I’m seeing no change

      The ASD is a module located in the rear of the car and only available on the Cooper S and JCW models. If I’m completely honest I am unaware if it is possible to retrofit it into One and Cooper models. If it was possible, you’d have to purchase the ASD module, wiring loom and then code it in but I’m not entirely sure if this is possible.

    So in your case you have F56 with B48 engine? In UK you guys have B48 engines still in the MINIs? I am in the US and my F55 Cooper S has B46 engine. You only changed model range and power class, but in my case I may have to change the engine to B48 as well. Any ideas?

  • @BunkerMan-95
    @BunkerMan-95 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Awesome videos mate! I have had my cooper s a week now and loving it. The only question I have for you is. Is there a way I can keep the exhaust as loud as it is when you start up from cold? It sound like it closes a valve but I have had my car up on a ramp and had my hands all around the exhaust and can't find a solenoid, so is it turbo side or egr? If you know can you make a video?
    Thank you
    Keep up the awesome content and look after that sexy car 😆

    • @BenRolfe
      @BenRolfe  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey 👋 thank you ☺️ I’ve heard that it’s the engine warming up the exhaust, how true this is I’m not entirely sure. But I do know that you can code it out so when you start it up it sounds muffled but unfortunately you can’t make it stay like that.

    • @BunkerMan-95
      @BunkerMan-95 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dam! Thats a shame. I have followed your ASD Config video and that does make a hell of a diffrence but I still want more noise haha.

    • @BenRolfe
      @BenRolfe  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I get where your coming from, the resonator delete is a good way to go and it’s one of the cheapest exhaust mods you can do.
