Beautiful scenery. I tend to spend most of my time in the Eastern Sierra along the stretch between Lone Pine and Bishop, but I think I need to start venturing north of Bishop. So many more places to go.
In mid November, I’m planning to meet my daughter in Lone Pine for a few days to visit. Do you have any suggestions you’d be willing to share for on or off-the-beaten-trail walks/day hikes between Lone Pine and Bishop? I’m more familiar with the Northern 395 area, but really loved the extra day in Lone Pine after finishing the JMT in early Sept. 2020. Thank you!
As an Aussie and having been there 14 years ago I really appreciate all the work that goes into all your vids. It's not just walking along tracks but the effort that goes with setting up all your camera shots behind the scenes so to speak. You must walk double the length of your treks. All kudos to you Sheety. Hope your missus and little one are doing well. From downunder.
Thanks for changing/correcting the title of video. A previous commenter also noted the error. Sorry your app was incorrect. Paper maps forever!! Appreciate you took the time to get title revised. (Green Creek trail is definitely worthy, too. Lots of wildflowers in mid-summer).
Beautiful I too love the Sierras. I did that same hike Sept 2019 but we went further on to Frog Lakes and even further to Teapot lake. If you have a chance Frog and Teapot lake are a must SEE. Teapot is the last lake before the Pass and my Favorite
@@Sheety33 I watched your videos hiking to Wood lake and also Sky Meadow. Thank you sooo much, I didn't realize how beautiful they are. Coldwater campground is my favorite, I'll be there in August and will definitely be taking both of those hikes. Thanks Again...love Your Videos
This is actually "Virginia Lakes Trail". The trailhead at Big Virginia Lake, passes Blue Lake, and up past the Miner's Cabin to Cooney. (Then the Frogs and up to Summit Lake if you want to go that far) The Green Creek Trail starts out of Green Creek Campground, heads up to Green, East, West, Hoover Lakes and the like, again all the way up to Summit Lake should you so desire. The two trails actually meet past the 2 Hoover Lakes before the final climb to Summit Lake. Some maps show Big Virginia Lake as Big Valley lake but that is 100% incorrect..
Hope you will change the title so people new to area don't get confused. This is NOT the Green Creek Trail. That's in another area not too far away but it follows a creek to a set of lakes, including Green Lake, has a campground at the trailhead, many trees, etc. Virginia Lakes area is not far away but completely different setting and no creek to follow. A nice, short hike here but pls. change title to reflect accuracy. Thanks.
Your vids just get better and better! Thanks. There are those who "wild skate" the frozen lakes of the Sierra. Check this YT Vid (from 2009) th-cam.com/video/-EG7kLjpzsM/w-d-xo.html I can just imagine the quiet and the feeling of flight. Of course, there's an element of danger doing anything in the mountains, especially involving frozen water and winter weather.
Loved the video. Would love to see more videos of fall foliage in the future. Thank you so much for taking us with you 🤎
Glad you enjoyed it! Fall foliage videos to come in a couple months.
Great job! I really need to get back up there before the snow comes! Thanks for all the beauty in the meantime!
Nice! The light was, indeed, beautiful for your hike. You do a great job on your videos. I’m always excited when you post a new one. Thank you!
Thank you 🙏
Something very very special about fall in the Sierra Nevadas
Another beautiful hike! Thanks for sharing.

There’s another world from Bishop - Tahoe!

@@megeshom4820The Alabama Hills have some nice strolls. The Sierra mountains may be full of snow by November and difficult to traverse.
@@Sheety33 True on the snow, but nice to have a recommendation in the pocket just in case we get lucky 🍀
Thank you for your response🙏
@@megeshom4820 anytime, and enjoy the Sierras 🤠

Thank you! The setups may add a quarter to half a mile depending on the hike, but it’s worth it. I can’t hike without filming the beauty of it🤠

Such a beautiful place. I have not been there yet, but would really love to hike that area one day. The sierras are just the best.

Interesting - thanks for the detail. My good app lists green Creek Trail. Oh well, at least we’re outdoors 🤠
3:03 should have been the beginning of this video
I think there is snow now
There sure is, especially after tonight🤠
destination is which lake? Cannot understand your pronounciation. Sounds like "coom lake" or "hoom lake". Thank you in advance
