I'am currently running m20+gs6 with dual-mass flywheel, but interested in converting to single-mass setup. The kit in the video looks good, but I'm worried about finding the disk for it later. The code "1221 bm-004" returns no matches. Does it have any other markings? Or how do you plan to order replacement clutch disks?
You should look up "clutch disk reconditioning service" near you. I took mine to a company near me to upgrade this kit I bought. Here is a newer video of the result: th-cam.com/video/7ynr7vXC1AM/w-d-xo.html Generally speaking no manufacturer sell disk only. You always have to purchase a set.
@@WhereistheVINnumber Yeah, already watched that video. It is a workable solution, but a process of sending the disk to be rebuild could take week or two, and I will be down a car for that time. I will prefer to have one at hand as a spare while second one is being rebuild. Probably will end up just buying two of this kits ) Interesting build overall, keep us posted )
@@WhereistheVINnumber stock m20 disks have their own separate part number and sold without a plate. M47n ones with 22 teeth are not, and sold only as a kit. BTW Sachs also makes such a kit with Single-Mass flywheel and they have a separate part number for a repair kit (disk and plate only).
