Scene with the stepfather I have seen several times and Ithink I know what is about : he is hurt from stepfather that did not like him . It took time and can you imagine : thew boy has lost the father who ran away and as in a bad fairy tale comes stepfather that molests him.
So, he needs a lot of care, a lot of love and the girl that is completely on his side. So would Billie this situation best menage. But , in the show has to be an obstacle.
I think that Brad loves her really passionately and sincerely. Just the communication between them should be different.
And I understand Brad completely.
