Yes! But the mid 90s was better. Music slowly stated becoming watered down in the late 90s. There was this glorious period from around 93-96 where almost everything was original and raw. The early 2000s was the very last era of great music.
when you divide "eras" in terms of what social network was the fashion, the idea of the world is screwed is on point. I still fan of this band, and people can really live without facebook, instagram, tweeter and even myspace.
@@scoutking1174 I opened up for them as well, throwdown and it dies today were there. Can remember who else. I miss being a teen with a dream when metal was everything. Still is but damn those were the days
What separates Bleeding through has been their evolution as a band and vocals. The progression of this band is amazing. They've come a long way and I wish they would've been better received commercially. Hats off to them from a real fan.
Legendary album. I remember being about 15 when this came out. I would play my iPod on the bus to school and sing way loud 'And my heart belongs to you! So save me!' People thought I was probably crazy.
My brother and I used to tear our living room up to this shit back in the day... He sadly passed in early 2023, and I can't listen to this without thinking of him every time. I was the HC/Goth , he was a little gangster white boy, but he definitely wasn't afraid to get in the pit and share his love for heavy music. He was a real gem, one of a kind happy go lucky kid, and it's a shame God called him home too soon ..
Not only is this song catchy as hell, it’s at a blistering 230 beats per minute with a sick half tempo breakdown in middle of song.. very few bands could pull that off. One of a kind band, with one of a kind song. Timeless classic for sure
Luckily got to see them live in NYC, got pictures with band. Sick musicians, humble people.. yah they took the 80’s and 90,s bands to another level with this album.. very underrated
Here because Chris Motionless said this was his favorite song in an interview (top 3). And although I've heard it before, I can def see why it inspired him.
Holy shit! I forgot all about Brandon's rolls he would do on stage! LOL! 10 years today of Straight Edge because of this music video and Throwdown's "Forever" Glad I was able to see Bleeding Through's last show while I was stationed in California. I owe these guys my life.
I was a young adult. When this came out lol maybe 30 something. I'm old children. I've seen metal evolution first hand early 80's to now. Was never a hardcore kid. But I love extreme metal. And I love this band. Early killswitch and this band were and are still the shit to me.
This is still a banger!!!! Omg! Ive been trying to remember the name of this song for the longest time! It drove me crazy! So glad i found it again. I really need to cover this song now
Some weeks ago I was on the concert of Bleeding Through and I was talking 10 minutes with Marta :-) This video and the beauty of Marta inspired me to write a poem (I'm a poet) titled Pygmalion's Words. Marta loved it :-) Hail Bleeding Through!
+Norman Folkes haha Mr. crotch, but look at a lot of metal music videos now. It's usually quick cuts, flashing lights, and the band in a warehouse of some sort. Especially in death metal music videos. A lot of Metalcore has gotten away from it and gone for a more clean look, but fir the most part, most of the extreme genres have this kind of video.
It's when I found my brothers Ferret Music Sampler CD... Blood , Sweat and Ten Years.. That sampler CD changed my life and paved the way for my love for metal/hardcore. All things aside. These bands had a huge impact on me
i remember booking them back in the scene days 2005 -7 ish in Cleveland at Pirates Cove . Capacity about 300 , they were pissed cuz a backyard wrasslin event was in the main room Peabody's. they still put on a goddamn amazing set ! Goddamn i miss " the scene "
I still listen to this cd nonstop. Its in my jeep right now. Bleeding through fucking RULES!!!! "The Truth" is also a masterpiece and my personal favorite from them... A few years ago they put out "Love will kill all" and it blew me away. Perfectly done album. I own them on Vinyl ;) Long Live B.T!!!
I remember chilling in my buddy's basement years ago playing Forza on Xbox. and this song came on. we just paused the game and headbanged religiously to the epicness. after the song quit we resumed the V8 madness that had been going on earlier. I'll never forget the first time I heard this song
Being a musician for 12+ years, I find it very cute that people bring up bands that weren't even around when this was popular. The fact is, like it or not, this band brought something new to the mix. Deny it all you want, but this song was/is the shit. Considering the bands that were around at the time. Don't get me wrong, I'm not hating on bands like Periphery, Asking, etc.... but this era of "metal" and "metalcore" is what it is. Without it, you younger kids wouldn't have your "metal".
hah, I just remember when this came out, many were saying "this band looks like punk rock band" and when they listen they were like O.O anyway, good stuff.
man i was a kid in like 2005/2006 and all these bands all sounded the same to me and they still do. But the keyboards in this song and the middle if this song is fucking awesome. It is too bad that, other than the keyboardist, this band really brings nothing new to the table. I worked at hot topic for three years. So i know all these bands and all their friend's bands. and all the bands they wish their band can be. almost none of them bring anything new.
There was a Golden Age of Metal that went sometime between 2004 and 2008. You had some of the greastest albums and releases during and near that time, across all the genres. You had Metal on MTV for a short period in 2005 thanks to acts that could gain lots of attention, there was even a show about being a metal band. I'm not sure if Himsa disbanding marks the end in my mind, or if it was years later, when the AILD frontman went nuts. All I know is we haven't seen its likes again. Sometimes, I feel like today's metal is a big, stupid joke. Babymetal? Really???
+Valdyr Konung Dude, I agree with you completely. Headbangers Ball on MTV used to be so sick. Martyr A.D, A Perfect Murder, Bleeding Through, Scars Of Tomorrow...all these metalcore bands that came out were the best at that time. Babymetal isn't bad either in my opinion.
metalcore wasnt even really a thing at that point, most bands that are now considered metalcore would of been called post hardcore at that point. just saying.
I was in high school during 04-08. Golden age for this 100%. Found every band I loved from MySpace and was lucky enough to sign with a label after high school and tour the world. This band was a huge influence on the scene no doubt.
Crazy how good we had it growing up in the early 2000s!
YES IT WAS
PRETTY INSANE.. 👌👌👌 👊
Yesss men!!
Each generation seems to slowly be loosing .. something?
No comment has hit me harder than this, even low level metal bands were fucking epic back then

Still a loyal bleeding through fan. This brings back the days where theres no facebook, Just myspace and metalcore.
Myspacecore
MySpace and scene kids ruined hardcore.

Better than somersaults! 👍

This was a fucking bomb.... For a few seconds, this place was Armageddon!! IT WAS A FIREFIGHT!!!!
Used to watch that movie everyday after school freshman year with my best friend back then
Looks scary at 1:56
Every time I watch boondock saints this song automatically starts playing in my head after that scene.
HG x SkyHighLowFly Same
for a few seconds....this place was Armageddon.
Great song. This album had some really awesome 'Gothenburg' moments, sending it a lot closer to melodic death metal than metalcore.
What separates Bleeding through has been their evolution as a band and vocals. The progression of this band is amazing. They've come a long way and I wish they would've been better received commercially. Hats off to them from a real fan.
Ahhhh.. my freshman years.... still sound great after 12 years
right?
Truth haha, I get a lot of nostalgia from this !

One of the best metalcore songs of that whole scene.
I nearly never gets goosebumps, but the ending gives me so much goosebumps.
This song was so ahead of its time. Didnt appreciate the drums as much as they deserved back then but they rip!
