  • In an ongoing research of Central Asia, Termez was one of the places that grabbed my attention while spending the summer in Uzbekistan. It used to be the only Buddhist region in the country and currently shares the border with a troubled neighbor, Afghanistan. Nowadays, the border is considered one of the most guarded. Moreover, it's the hottest region in the country. This is what I discovered on the adventure! Enjoy!

Thumbs up for Uzbekistan for doing a proper job on the border! Here is another unique place in the country: th-cam.com/video/TckVeCtFrto/w-d-xo.htmlsi=69aIWiacKmHrOeGW

Youre a natural at this. This security at railway stations is pretty common in Russia as you probably know

Uzbekistan isn't a rich country but even though they manage to guard their border well. The Afghans meanwhile simply go to EUrope where anyone can walk right in, lol.
Sooner or later, even the Western Europeans will probably understand why border protection is important. One incident at a time.

I think there are more factors to the issue than just borders.
