Everyone has their style , body language , control, opening their mouth belting etc. But... no one can beat the original singer Loren. Her green outfit, body language and facial expression, singing from her soul... all in one package. Unbeatable.💖

Hands down Loren Allred, she gives the song "Never Enough" life beyond what anybody else has tried. I'm not taking away anything from the other great singers in this video, but only Loren makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up straight, and her voice is just levels above anyone else. It just resonates through your body and it sinks into yor soul, and after she's done singing you just feel like you just witnessed something so special that you may never see again...

Not wanting to take a thing away from Loren but I feel it's because we all heard it first from her lips in a mammoth box office hit of a movie, she set the bar... and granted, it is a very high bar but if someone else had sung the song in the movie, such as Shan in this video, who sung it in quite a different style, yet also perfectly, and it was her we heard singing 'opera' in the movie that won our hearts, everyone would be comparing versions to hers.

All the others sang the song so well but the shivers, goosebumps felt when Loren sings the song is unmatched.
Loren has this beautiful cry in her voice that is not overpowering but brings emphasis to a certain feeling within the song and its meaning. Unmatched.

Each singer is unique, but no one comes close to Loren's grace and full tone, her range, perfect control (she never drops a final syllable -- for example, the word "moment" has a "t" sound).

This is Loren Allreds song. She captured the emotion and mesmerized the audience just like Elaine Paige’s memory from CATS the musical.
The others were not bad actually, but in terms of elegance and hitting the higher pitch Loren undoubtedly beats them all. None of them were able to hit those higher octaves portion, instead they opted to render those portion differently which is of course the right thing to do. Only Loren, the original singer was able to hit the lowest and highest octaves with elegance and ease, and without evading them. All said with due respect to the other singers of course.

Yes she has quite the range. I didn't figure out what the lowest and highest notes were that she sang, but I would guess she has a over a 2 octave range, and she is comfortable getting to all those notes.
I have heard Loren Allred repeatedly for a long time and I am not tired listening to her. It evokes extraordinary feelings of waves of musical patterns from her voice and the lyrices she sings. I have also heard others singing the same Never Enough, but with their own originality, not Loren's. You are in a class of your own, Loren.

I agree totally, although there are many great singers who sang this song, the thing that Loren outshine the others is her story telling of the song, the message delivery was so real as if the person in the song is herself. Her clarion voice add more to the song. The most difficult of this song is can the singer put themselves as if they are the person who is actually the song is about.

Firstly, this is a VERY hard song to cover. All of those vocalists did an Amazing job!
I feel the core differences between Loren and the others is that:
The other vocalists are trying to prove something about their abilities. "Look what I can do!"
Loren on the other hand is focused on "telling a story" (in dramatic Broadway + Disney fashion). Her focus is on her vocal Textures, Dynamics, and Dramatic, Emotional Impact on her audience.
This is not surprising if you know her background. Unlike many of these aspiring (non-professional singers), Loren is a "Lifer" who was raised by 2 other "Lifers" (her parents) that were not only professional vocalists themselves, but INSTRUCTORS. Then Loren went beyond her family and studied academically in addition eventually ending up at Berkley.
She has been training her whole life for this moment/song and it shows. In this moment she is as good as Celine Dion or any of the other Legendary Elite vocalists that have come before her!

Yes, Loren owns the song, but the talent that exists in this world to tackle this song with all its pitch and crescendos is simply amazing. Congrats to all these people, especially the youngsters. And let's not forget, for many of these wonderful singers, the song is not in their first language.
Wow! They were all spectacular, but the one whose performance stood out the most to me is Souparnika. In a close second, Eva had a breathiness that made it feel very authentic.
I saw a couple close calls but.........sorry man, Loren is the original master of this song, and I highly doubt history will out rank her!.

Loren. Her voice is transcendental. Blew me away when I watched the Greatest Showman, and blew me away when you performed it on BGT. This is a song that spontaneously pops in my head occasionally because it's just so good.
Loren has perfect pitch and she can make her voice maintain that standard 99% of the time. No other singer matched that.

Many of the others did beautiful versions but despite not being a fan of Brian Justin Crum originally I have revisited his performances & have come to understand that he has a truly marvelous voice & is my pick of the others.

Loren's tonal quality is superior to all the others. Her timing, inflection and power is unmatched. It is possible I suppose there's a few that might be as good, although I doubt it. Her vocal talent is as good as the best. She is a professional. There is a point at which there is none better, and few reach it. Celine Dion and Inva Mulla Tchako come to mind.
Lucy Thomas sang this song when she was 15 years old and matched or exceeded Lorens performance, Lucy has a better deeper, broader, singing voice with more substance and can hit the high notes SINGING, not screaming, Lucy now over 3 years later should record this song again and she will best all singers....she has sung several great songs of famous singers and attested to by many professional music people bested the original at her older age !!! Loren was the best here on the show tonite...but she can be bested !!! .

Here's what people don't think or realize when it comes to people that are singing on stage. It's a talent. Some are bad, some are good, some are out of this world. Either way/ no matter the less talent or years of experience it's a gift for them to come on and show the world what they love to do and that is to sing their little heart and souls out. It's not an easy thing to perform live infront of people let alone on top the entire world live. With great practice and experience anyone can shine ✨️ like a star 🌟.
