It would be really hard to do it that way. Having to have country specific ais would be extremely hard for a roblox dev to code. The only thing I can think of that might be manageable is to have all nations be randomly assigned one of two or three ais at the start of the game. One is aggressive, one is passive and focuses on economy, and idk what the third would do, prolly go for forming nations (as opposed to the first which just attacks everything near it.) This would be much easier to code as it would only be three ai types instead of hundreds of unique ones for every nation, but would also better keep to the randomness the video was trying to emphasize. One game you could have chille uniting south America, making it much more interesting when they inevitably get invaded by USA, and in the next it would be a different nation, or maybe none of them because for once a actual player selected one of those nations
The main issue with adding an AI is… how would the AI determine where to put and move their units around the map? In most Paradox grand strategy games, the map is made up of provinces, which I imagine is way easier to make an AI move units around on than a map which only has cities and a ‘free roam’ map where units can go anywhere.
late game RON is a perfect realistic intepretation of the modern world. a missle measuring contest where democracies lose to 3 bros camped in a mountain fort and facists sell you off brand ipads.
Honestly I wouldnt even care if bots didnt declare war. But I would love seeing them make more troops or even arti, and instead of only retaking their lands they would get pissed and go full crusade on whoever attacked them, destroying their army if possible and then attacking their land. This would force the players to actually think and work during AI battles
I agree with most of this but I feel like these would give smaller countries less of a chance, especially since RON isn’t getting bigger anymore so the skill level per match is getting higher, so you have a much worse chance as a small nation fighting a great power/superpower than you did in the past if they know what they’re doing
late late LATE game is horrific. everyone wants to be in a server in the year 3500, but every city has 300 million people in it and war is basically impossible even with nukes.
Tbh i treat RoN more as a "Improve your country" than a "Complete warlord simulator". I usually do Brasil because that is where i was born or i do another isolated country and just improve it, my main goal is to get 100% stability and NEVER go to war.
Whereas early game you have a full server with people trading, making alliances, going to war, conquering, and you're just struggling to get a standing army to not get invaded and trying to give your country a functional economy... then comes late game and only a handful of players are left. And especially if you're in a continent like South America or Africa... you just gotta sit around and wait for war justifications and for factories and units to get built. And you either get bored and leave after you finish conquering a few nations or a continent.... or the ONE other guy in the server whose been conquering and building up his army from halfway across the world decides to completely annihilate your entire empire 💀 And the smart AIs is another thing that would be SO great to add... it's too easy to just build an army around a country's border, justify war, then invade and their measly 20k army doesn't even fight back. Worse is when you invade a nation that did have a player running it, but then left, and you're stuck throwing men at 600k troops that are entrenched in some random african town 💀
Fr. Consumer goods selling NEEDS a nerf. I think they should add a limit to how many consumers you can sell. Like each nation can only sell 50 consumers and no more than that. That way you can't just have a random germany player sell 150 consumers to india, make 10k maneuvre tanks and steanroll all of europe.
@@oldchannelnotusedanymore selling 150 consumers to india is literally zero skill. The game should be about who can manage their economy well, and not who sells consumers before everyone else.
You should be able to use ships to destroy someones trades when at war and be able to defend your trade routes using ships, this would make the game more fun and more strategic and allows you to ruin someones economy overseas. But its just an idea though, hyperant is too busy working on doing nothing.
Kind of like the actual Rise of Nations where you can kill the Caravans. I wish this game could do the age advancement thing... Maybe as a different mode
Ron ideas 1.add infantry exhaustion imagine getting you re troops to very harsh terrain now they got infantry exhaustion which will lower they re morale(now they will fight less well 2.add a spade factory in order to nerf defense without a spade factory you re infantry wont get entrenchment 3.make custom ore and factories to private servers(you add them) 4.add civil wars which will require advance ai or a player that can see a civil war started in oman and can join the civil war nation the game will still be simple!!!
I agree but a spad factory is kinda dumb, like a millitary factory would be better, and if you have a surplus of millitary equipment you get increased attack, defence and spoed
9:45 I had an idea for fighters to “auto intercept” bombers, currently they don’t follow any other aircraft and for some reason even if it’s in the hitbox won’t even attack
I think the early part of mid game is the best, since people have some sort of technology and special units unlike ultra early game where it's just basic infantry
Number one problem is why I stopped playing this years ago. Idk if the dev is bad at coding or something but every update has made the game laggier, slower, and more unresponsive. Back in the day the matches were like 5x faster and the game was responsive. That's when the game was peak imo.
i can agree with the randomness part, but if u add more things that makes ron more complex just rther play hoi4, the only reason i play ron is how fast paced it is and you dont have to worry about losing progress cause you can do it again fairly easier. (edit) i also play ron cause of how easy it is and more player friendly, but i have an ideia for those poeple who want ron to be more complex why not make another seperate rise of nations game where its literally 5 times more complex than the current rise of nations. i know its not that easy making a game, but if hyperant really thinks about it he cant just think about the players who want it more complex, he gotta think about the other players like me who only played rise of nations cause its easier and fast paced compared to hoi4 honestly no hate and all im just expressing my opinion. have a good day/night.
I think that an auto capture feature would be something like "keeping the frontline" where instead of troops meandering off to narnia theres a frontlines of troops constantly kept
Thank you so much for bringing up the consumer goods problem. I honestly HATE how the only way to be strong is to sell consumer goods as fast as possible. I know this video is about late game, but late game is when it's actually "your economy vs their economy" while early game is just "democracy's economy vs slow poke" and i wish they balance the early game eco better. also, delaying a thing doesn't really nerf it. Like you need steel to make forts, but that just delays it and forts will still be built, just not earlier. For a game like Rise Of Nations, the only real best way to balance things without insane power creep is to create counters and counters and counters etc. Like having a military operation make attacking forts much easier or training special troops for it etc. Other than that, Rise Of Nations is just a factual game, it's really hard to create an opinion on it since there are numbers to prove it wrong. if you think rise of nations can still be opinionated, then in my opinion tanks are still better than infantry late game. ooo now you wanna debunk that dont you? sorry for yapping after you just watch amandus yap for 14 mins.
Um dont want to be called a nerd but adding more features will sometimes ultimately make the server ping more higher as roblox server kinda suck because most of the server are dealing with sbg, blox fruits and other games with higher player bases
I love the late game because its pretty much me racing for the Uranium cities with the most resource and factory gain modifiers and then nuking the entire opposition making them collapse while holding out against millions of troops. It has more long-term strategy and less speed.
I feel like the usage of AI for each nation would be sick. Too make it a lil balanced, the AI can gather pattern recognition (how you play) and once you leave the AI will take over and play as you once did to the best of its abilities.
I remember when I stayed in a game from 2019 to 2065 in the end, me, and Braziel was at war with Japan and Russia in a nuclear war, and I sent many suns to Japan :D
They should do that AI doesn't rush enemy when a city gets captured only if the enemy has weaker army and the AI can reach them before they entrench and in late game AI should get even better like maybe use technology
yeah late game sucks one time I joined a late game server as Italy to form the eu and it took me hours to get the land I need and I couldn’t form the eu cause some French player already formed the eu.
One idea i’m so surprised isn’t implemented. The AI doesn’t have to conquer other nations. Just make it so AI countries don’t just leave their entire army on their capital and can only retake cities. Maybe only have half retake while half remain at the capital, or they make artillery at some random city. The bigger the nation is, the more likely they are to do…something…anything. Would help greatly in preventing runaway imperialism
The AI wouldent even be hard from a developers point of view. all you need to do is make the AI do something random every couple of months and keep its army and economy going here is how i would do it: 1. choose a random amount of days from 15-100(Could change with idiology) 2. When random timer is up either ally a nearby AI nation with the same idiology or declar war on a nation with a different idiology or that is needed for a formable then auto atack with all troops 3. when the AI has mp spawn troops if it can aford it and add them to a millitary group with a random general and select a random idiology and if at war select a random military operation if the AI has enought military points 4. when the AI has pp change random law and ad random leaders 5. build random things and make trades to keep factories functional
I understand the idea of fixing consumer goods, but Hyperant would need to overhaul the economy system to avoid increasing monotony. Currently, most players still rely on electronics to support their economies instead of consumers. With AI only accepting needed resources, it becomes a tedious race to sell 2 electronics to the most nations possible, made worse by delayed trades and lag. Removing the large-scale sale of consumer goods to AI would just replicate the existing issues with electronics.
yeah unbalance will do it, late game i had taken over south africa and pretty much all of europe that was left standing had come to peace agreements. then we realise that USA has literally all of north and south america andd nukes, and yeah, all of europe failed to kill them. we only won because usa forgot to get anti air so i just sat off thier coast with a few ACs and a bunch of bombers and won a war of attrition

Rise of nations could be better late game if forts and resistance were nerfed. I had high war exhaust in a a war against germany as the UK in 2038 while only managing to take land up to the rhine and some colonies because of the amount of manpower needed to be expended to take a single city, I ended up just making a few huge tank stacks to take cities
What I like to do is go democracy and spam development and do as much stuff to raise my taxes just to see how much money I can make at once (my record is 500 million something every 5 days)
What is your opinion on Rise of Nations having division templates like in HOI4? It would probably fix the things you said related to smaller units in a different way. Would allow for more playstyles, also incentivize research into specific parts of the template.. so on
there is one simple solution that is guaranteed to work. just get a group of people with free time and make a better game than Ron, Shure it will maybe take a few months to a few years but it will beat Ron by a lot if you add all the stuff they wont add.
100% agree, late game is so boring when players have tens of millions to blob, nukes, everything maxed out, its just boring. Early game is way better (2019-2023) where all the action happens and you have the ability to dominate the server before someone plays tall and makes the game boring.
I also like it in that sense. As an analogy, but when I'm playing a "strategy game" I'm expecting something more akin to Survival Minecraft, not Creative Minecraft which is what Lategame feels like
hyperant ruined it with addition of a shitload more mountainous terrain, addition of more jungle/arid biomes, removal of mass selling electronics, and every nation having a billion fucking releasables declaring independence before you finish conquering them, all of these are leading reasons as to why the pace of the game has slowed down immensely since 2020. this is coming from a grandmaster player who misses the old game, and being able to steamroll over russia or china as a powerful european/asian nation in the early game in one fel swoop without them shattering apart into a billion pieces like a child stepped on a jigsaw puzzle; not to mention the lfuckload of mountains he added in china and siberia, making these already large and annoying nations to capture 1000x more difficult. also he has overcomplicated the game way further than necessary with the addition of leaders, the 3 military types thing and not to mention the 9000 government spending tabs...
For me late game is peaceful‚ it's easier trading and no one harasses you‚ formables become easier getting a good economy is much faster. Until a new player attacks you with billions of troops. They either leave or they destroy your hopes and dreams ❤
I played for 4 years, quit recently and I can say the late game always sucked because of the lack of skill from most of the playerbase. This isnt me trying to boost my ego, or to sound like I was the best at a block game, but I genuinely remember once when I was liechtenstein, blowing up a public server, and forming the EU in 2023. It's way to easy since a lot of players just love the idea of "neutrality" and not fighting... In a war game. I think another issue is that players just love to scorch and rage quit when they get in a tough fight. For example, I was playing as Taiwan. I had formed the ROC (I think it's that one) and I was going to fight a north american union. This was a late game server and it was going to be my "final major war" so I put a lot of effort into a navy, tanks and airforce... Just for them to scorch and rage quit as soon as I declared war. So to summarise my opinion, late game sucks because of the playerbase (servers dying by 2020, incompetent players, rage quitters ETC) I think hoi4 is much better for players who are getting bored of ron, the lack of updates dont help either lol (Espionage, anyone?) I know this comment was kind of all over the place but I just wanted to share some thoughts on ron, though I doubt anyone will see this anyways 💀
late game sucks cuz early game is just infinite expansion with no one rly stopping u, there are no features to counter this as well as having the fact that u could annex half the world in one peace deal
Late game sucks if everyone has spec'd out everything including forts and max resistance so unless you have socialism saving you from war exhaustion unless they have it... THERE IS NOTHING TO DO
Like how the fuck can I make more money as Senegal than the US before 2020 by just selling consumers, it doesn't make sense. The economy in rise of nations just doesn't matter. You never run out of money unless you have too much of a navy for your consumer selling, I think the economy should have more options than just sell consumers early game and spam develop city mid-late game.
8:03 ermmmm, mars is actually smaller than earth so this visualisation is incorrect, additionally, mars is the 4th planet from the sun while earth is the 3rd, therefore mars should be to the right of earth and not to the left as depicted by this 'meme animation'.

I think that AI should actually do stuff once mid-game comes around.
100% agree, late game is so boring when players have tens of millions to blob, nukes, everything maxed out, its just boring. Early game is way better (2019-2023) where all the action happens and you have the ability to dominate the server before someone plays tall and makes the game boring.
late game? do you mean 6 superpowers all allied
Bro the thumbnail is literally pulled from that one r/riseofnationroblox post. Never knew Amandus was active on there.
Bro we need the events its been so long and it was so fun
The name of the game had me confused was thinking of the older RON and was like that's not what it looked like.
i actually like late game more than early game bc how goofy and random it is and you can do continental hyperwars with insane casualties and nukes
I also like it in that sense. As an analogy, but when I'm playing a "strategy game" I'm expecting something more akin to Survival Minecraft, not Creative Minecraft which is what Lategame feels like
@@Amandos true, there needs to be way more late game content
lategame in RoN is literally the equivalent of the 1984 superstates going to an actual full blown war
@@Alb_Balk yes thats why i love it
hyperant ruined it with addition of a shitload more mountainous terrain, addition of more jungle/arid biomes, removal of mass selling electronics, and every nation having a billion fucking releasables declaring independence before you finish conquering them, all of these are leading reasons as to why the pace of the game has slowed down immensely since 2020. this is coming from a grandmaster player who misses the old game, and being able to steamroll over russia or china as a powerful european/asian nation in the early game in one fel swoop without them shattering apart into a billion pieces like a child stepped on a jigsaw puzzle; not to mention the lfuckload of mountains he added in china and siberia, making these already large and annoying nations to capture 1000x more difficult. also he has overcomplicated the game way further than necessary with the addition of leaders, the 3 military types thing and not to mention the 9000 government spending tabs...
blud just wants to paint the globe brainlessly, very entertaining indeed
Bros mad that he needs to use his brain to win the game now
dude the terrain makes it fucking realistic you have a skill issue
this mf when he cant speed through himalayas with tanks:
Nah because with consumers, it just makes smaller countries really really weak while it barely effects superpowers

That's that, and this is this.
The reason why RON will never appeal to the majority is that, the whole combat thing, yea…
yeah but imagine trying a spanish empire speedrun and then u look at ai brazil having uruguay
I had to have a double take when I heard dark souls menu music lmao
1:59 only turkeys know this is a remake
Tbh I would like them to add a “growth sprout” event so ai countries would get a lil more mp and pop
Especially pop, add immigration
Trinadad and Tobago player respect to that man
they can just increase the new players limit to fix players problem tho it would increase waiting time
For me late game is peaceful‚ it's easier trading and no one harasses you‚ formables become easier getting a good economy is much faster.
Until a new player attacks you with billions of troops.
They either leave or they destroy your hopes and dreams ❤
Late game in every strategic game is bad. It gets laggy and everyone has like 1000000 troops

So to summarise my opinion, late game sucks because of the playerbase (servers dying by 2020, incompetent players, rage quitters ETC)
I think hoi4 is much better for players who are getting bored of ron, the lack of updates dont help either lol (Espionage, anyone?)
I know this comment was kind of all over the place but I just wanted to share some thoughts on ron, though I doubt anyone will see this anyways 💀
How can you form ROC while you are already ROC???
But I seen it :(

There needs to be XP based matchmaking
when are we getting the natural disasters update
I'd say to make AI play realistically not actually play the game well. have them train troops whenever someone justifies or something.
Ok, det här är definitivt *inte* samma Rise of Nations som jag minns från när jag var liten...
thanks brother
1:59 this is epic that im here
late game sucks cuz early game is just infinite expansion with no one rly stopping u, there are no features to counter this as well as having the fact that u could annex half the world in one peace deal
Consumer goods giving you an infinite economy:
@@Amandos when india or china is ai and you have consumer factories:
late games are kinda good for new players cause they're learning how to play a bit
Me when that one Japanese player that nobody noticed...
ZELDA TWILIGHT PRINCESS MUSIC OMG
thats why i am not playing public, i play events
Late game sucks if everyone has spec'd out everything including forts and max resistance so unless you have socialism saving you from war exhaustion unless they have it... THERE IS NOTHING TO DO
3:26 Why the fuck is there a aeronautica thumbnail
Like how the fuck can I make more money as Senegal than the US before 2020 by just selling consumers, it doesn't make sense. The economy in rise of nations just doesn't matter. You never run out of money unless you have too much of a navy for your consumer selling, I think the economy should have more options than just sell consumers early game and spam develop city mid-late game.
Lol I broke whit the logo break sound affect😂
it seems i blue screen when i play rise of nations and i cant fix and i am not asking you to help just fyi☺
Have you tried the Bislo strat?

welp....
Correction, Latin America will be just Brazil taking it all then nothing.
Not gonna lie, I think late game just sucks because there’s barely gonna be players and is gonna get boring pretty fast.
quantum computing shouldnt be removed bro I aint waitin 10 years for 2k elec my boi
make 50+ servers
Ngl having mini humans in your country would be nice 😅
Early game is whoever sells the most consumers wins
No way this is the real nassar 🧑🏿🦰🧑🏿🦰
good point, can u pls make hyper reduce nuke cost now bc im aussie nuker
8:03 ermmmm, mars is actually smaller than earth so this visualisation is incorrect, additionally, mars is the 4th planet from the sun while earth is the 3rd, therefore mars should be to the right of earth and not to the left as depicted by this 'meme animation'.
could have been the POV, where as if you where closer to Mars than earth it would show as much bigger, but if you where to travel to earth than look at Mars from there itd be smaller
Good thumbnail
13:30 oh hell nah
Turkey mentioned 🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺
Hear me out and be real alright.
RON is definitely on dying, Hyperant did likely nothing to update and only minor update. It gets so repetitive and boring now. Man I wish if the dev could actually caring for this game or atleast Hyperant decide to take some more care for this game.
