Is it ever possible to just be a nice humble person who is also mildly famous? He has a great job. He could be working like the rest of us and being forced to be nice to customers. Ego is one of the worst drugs.

Even a GP who isn’t nice to his patients will soon become the least busy GP in a clinic. I’ve waited weeks/a couple of months to see mine for this very reason! He’s a great doctor!
And word of mouth gets around quite rapidly regarding these things in ANY “service-type” occupation/job.
ETA~ I hope Wes overcomes whatever issues are going on in his life~ whether they be mental health, addiction or anything else that may be affecting his well being. 🖤

Puddle of Mudd played in my hometown a few years ago and my brother was a manager at a restaurant where Wes Scantlin decided to go in and drink. He didn't have ID, my brother had no idea who he was, and the restaurants policy is to card for alcohol 100%. Scantlin threw a fit and my brother had to throw him out. Kept pulling the "Do you know who I am?" routine. My brother said that he didn't. When Scantlin told him, my brother still didn't know. who he was. Not being able to drink at the restaurant, he went back to the hotel and ordered EVERYTHING on the room service menu and let it sit in the room, untouched. About $5,000 worth of food and booze, all charged to the promoter who is a friend of mine. This is the kind of crap he pulls everywhere he goes. I can't believe anyone still books them.

One of those groups who started fairly strong, but their leader/primary songwriter just never creatively evolved. I have no doubt that Wes has talent, but his personal problems and refusal to blossom as an artist have really set him back. I wish him all the best but dude, focus on your MUSIC!!!

He "started" by taking off and leaving the rest of his band high and dry to go be Puddle of Mud. Didn't even tell those guys goodbye. He isn't ever going to amount to anything.

So sorry to hear about all of this. I was so hopeful since he recently had a good show here in San Antonio. Addiction is evil... POD get him some help and cancel your shows so you can come back stronger and people will want to come back to see you. Feeling bad for y'all. Peace...

Show and of course went on a rant about lip syncing.
