Summary Lecture#05
Jean Piaget was the one of pioneers who worked in children developmental stages.
He put forward 4 important stages.
1.Sensorimotor stage:
from birth to 2 years: learns by imitation: know things by senses only.
2.Preoperational stage:
from 2 years to 7 yr. Begins to think in symbolic manner.
3. Concrete Operational stage:
from 7 to 11 years. Solves problems logically. Classifies things, objects ...starts understanding abstract meanings.
4. Formal operational stage: from age 11 onwards
Chronological age: Age by birth
