Thank you for the donor(s) who made shopping possible. Emily and Josh God bless your hearts. For all the others that will be donating, I just wa t to thank you in advance
I love seeing the everyday life of living in Uganda, the challenges, and the blessings. What a shopping trip that was! Emily and Josh, you both have such big hearts. 💗
love the fact you’re posting more, it’s great to see. i’d love to see like all the kids make a personal video answering questions like, what they wanna be when they grow up, favourite subject, food, drink all that stuff. your kids and the ceda kids
We have actually filmed exactly this with my four!!! Annoyingly something has gone wrong with my memory card and we lost George’s but will redo and be posting veeery soon 🥰🥰🥰
Emily it's great to see that you take personal hygiene very seriously and its important for these young children growing up knowing the importance of these things, what a wonderful mom you are👍❤❤❤
Emillie please try and buy the things from a whole sale shop.. u can buy the things even before school approaches because scholastic matreials tend to become expensive...so u can buy the things from a whole sale shop, and also try and buy them abit early,u will be surprised that u even saved half of the money... Your doing a great job though....and good thing is that your also with Josh so that they dont over price you guys since he knows the language and has been in the region.
We could have done this for a couple of items - but we used to go a couple of years ago and the savings were minimal so felt it was easier to just do all the shopping in one place. But we'll try this again next time and compare! 😊
I just feel so happy for you and I'm very optimistic that an amazing future awaits you..and hopefully once again to see you on goodmoring show with all your family back in Britian 🥰🙏
This is my wife’s comment I will be so happy when ur all back home in the uk it’s not good at the moment but you will have ur amazing family to help you feel safe and give you all so much love 💖 hope it’s very soon guys all the best 🙏🙏🏴🏴
Thanks so much for posting more regularly. We love seeing what things and what life is like there in Uganda it’s so interesting. You guys are doing a great job and a great work.🥰🥰
Emily and Josh... I admire seeing you both together... wishing you both have a blessed Sunday... finding countless blessings and an abundance of joy throughout the day ... taking care of those lovely kids...No matter what knocks you down in life... keep going... Never give up...'Great blessings are a result of great perseverance'❤❤❤❤
You guys are amazing🥰. My advice for back to school shopping if you're buying in bulk like for your case is to shop them from a wholesale you save some coins then picking in the supermarket.
You’re right - we could definitely have done that for bathing soap and washing soap as we got so much of them! Also sometimes just a bit easier to be able to do it all one one place - why we were glad this big supermarket opened!
Yes but she mentioned briefly that they lost some things, i assume that not all the kids in school have all this hygiene products and this kids grew up in a village where EVERYTHING is shared, something they know is sharing, so probably they know that a few soaps and toothpaste are gonna end in hands of other kids, and that's ok too because its even better for everyone 😊😊😊😊
You should have told the cashier how much of everything you had so she could have scanned accordingly instead of one by one which takes a long time. You guys are absolutely amazing and love how much you love the kids and the passion you have to do the very best for them.
The kids are going to look so smart and sparkly clean. ✨️ Do the kids all wash their own clothes in school? It wouldn't have occurred to mean that they'd need laundry detergent but fair play for sorting all that out for them.
Can I ask how did you first get in touch to support with the CEDA kids? I missed the start of the CEDA journey, and would love to understand the start of the charity .
The majority of the CEDA children I met through the charity where I also met Adam. Their children's home closed down, and having already formed a bond with many of them - we decided to set up a small charity to continue supporting them with an education. We registered in 2017 - and have been through lots of changes along the way. Now we support them through boarding school and hope to support them all the way through higher education if they wish ❤️
Firstly: Josh, Emilie is your woman, don't be shy to let the whole world know it...th-cam.com/video/1seHQHrq7aU/w-d-xo.html.....Secondly, those kids are blessed to have you as surrogate parents. How Josh was throwing in the toothpaste and Emilie organizing them, shows men and women are the same all over.🤣😂Lastly, I hope when these kids become adults, they never forget you both, for giving them two of the best gifts, love and education.
How much is that in English pounds and would love to see my videos of the ceda kids and more activities over the summer are you going to the uk for the summer
Am so happy that your posting mores videos .But plzzz next time when buying things for kids most expecially when they a many children don't use supermarkets because they a expensive and u don't bargain on things . So plzz when visit Kampala try and look for the place called Kikubo ,things there a so cheap and affordable in a bulky . Am just saying guys not commanding plzz
I’m not sure if you’ve spoke on their educational system before but are there no public schools in their town? Also how long are you allowed to stay in Uganda before you have to leave?
The schools in our area are not great, this is what we initially had done at CEDA but it went so badly, we opened our Home School instead. After several years of that and realising we cannot manage to run the projects if we were abroad, we decided to look into Kampala/Entebbe where the standards are higher. So far, it's worked really well and has been best decision we've made for them 🤞🤞🤞 How long we can stay - about 5 months before having to at least cross the border for a couple of days. But it's not ideal to get back-to-back tourist visas, I'm thinking of looking into getting an NGO visa seeing as we have a registered NGO here that we are running and that'll allow us to stay a lot longer without having to worry!
It is very lovely that you are able to shop for the kids. It is not good to use Antibacterial soap are not necessarily good to use antibacterial soaps because they will get rid of the good bacteria on the skin
Interesting question !!! But just like Emily said it's hot dusty and it's just helps to unwind as well. Do people take a bath once a day where you are from?
@@Kshanice25 I would say once a day to once every other day… unless you are intentionally working out, you don’t get very hot and sweaty in the north of Scotland.
Here in Uganda we can take even three a day that's if you've stayed at home. But if you work, we bath Morning and Evenning after work Sama applies to kids at school
Hey , you know in Uganda we have wholesale shops ,I think it would be too cheap if you bought such stuff from them especially when your buying in a big quantity...just saying It's better than supermarkets
😂😂😂 oh James, I guess you really have no idea what you’re talking about… We run a charity, voluntarily. This video was doing a huge shop for said charity. Nothing to do with our personal finances… We are so grateful to all those who make it possible to support the CEDA children and send them to school ♥️
They are buying school supplies with the money donated by people for that specific reason ( to support the kids). They are buying the car with their own money and are cash- strapped at the moment which makes it difficult especially that cars are expensive in Uganda. That's two different matters. Emily even thanked those who donated so that they can do this for the kids
Do you expect them to take the charity money that people donate (to help the kids) to use for their personal gains?, if you are dishonest not everyone is like you. Good on them for helping those kids get an education.
Am so happy that your posting mores videos .But plzzz next time when buying things for kids most expecially when they a many children don't use supermarkets because they a expensive and u don't bargain on things . Kampala wouldn't really work out cheaper for us as we'd have to pay to get there! We did used to go to a wholesale shop, but realistically it's only a couple of items we got the same item in bulk - so found it easier to go to one place. But we will try again in a wholesalers next time and compare! (and film it of course too!) 😊
Can I ask how did you first get in touch to support with the CEDA kids? I missed the start of the CEDA journey, and would love to understand the start of the charity .
CEDA is our small charity (registered in UK and UG) that we founded in 2017. It’s been on a big journey since then, with some very big changes made in Dec/Jan when we decided to close the projects we run - but we did not want to stop supporting the children so now they attend boarding school ☺️ The majority of the children we’ve now known for almost 10 years! We hope to support them all the way through their educational journey. We now do all our fundraising for them via Ko-Fi which is linked in our description box (and has lots more info on!). Hope that briefly explains things ☺️
This is so,beautiful for someone dedicate their life to give kids joy!
Your care and concern for there proper hygiene and not just minimal hygiene is so loving to see, what a beautiful example of how to care for others 💕
I agree. This video made me really smile. 😊

I want to be part that shopping
Emily I like your choice of music. What you play at the end. What artists are those? And is it gospel?
💖🫂🫶Let's goooo🏃🏃💃💃
Emily i love you ❤
How much is that in English pounds and would love to see my videos of the ceda kids and more activities over the summer are you going to the uk for the summer
Maybe! & I need to double check exactly but think we spent about £500 in total all on all requirements! ☺️
I loved seeing you shopping for the kids but it was hard to hear
We know - but that's going to be the case with a lot of videos here sadly. We want to film more but a lot of places in Uganda are very noisy!

Calculate the transportation too to Kampala, they can use wholesale shops in Jinja
How many kids are you sending to boarding school?
How much soap?
4 bars each but for 3 months, bathing twice a day. They have to use it very sparingly!
@@TheLartersI just found your channel. I'm trying to figure out who the kids are that you are referring to
First and whoooo pls more post
What a load of things to send children to school and we complain about having to buy crayons, paste, and notebooks!

You're so beautiful mummy
Wholesale could do better ❤
You need to get a whole sale shop and buy in boxes, its cheap.then you can buy may be few things and you buy them early.
We will try this next time. We used to go to one a few years ago but the savings were minimal - but we'll do this next time and compare again!
They don’t provide laundry detergent at a boarding school I work in a boarding school U.K. they provide laundry detergent
No, very different! You even take all your own snacks, exercise books, everything!
They only provide a bed and posho and beans. Everything else you provide for yourself
Oh wao in Uganda it's unheard of, thanks for sharing.
A petticoat is like a slip that goes under the skirts- for modesty. Hope that makes it make more sense?
It is very lovely that you are able to shop for the kids. It is not good to use Antibacterial soap are not necessarily good to use antibacterial soaps because they will get rid of the good bacteria on the skin
It's also the one the school recommends - lots of problems with ringworm etc in boarding school so think it just helps keep things like that at bay!
Why do they take two baths a day when their skin is already so dry?
It’s custom to do so here - even I do - it’s hot, sweaty, dusty!
Interesting question !!! But just like Emily said it's hot dusty and it's just helps to unwind as well. Do people take a bath once a day where you are from?
