Played Quik Drop and the machine only counted 48 balls so told an employee and was informed they ‘take balls out because people throw them’ so I asked how the expected people to win the jackpot (before remembering you can’t even access the balls) I was actually told by the employee there was nothing they could do to help me (after playing about 7 times) and had to speak to a manager to get my money returned... I still feel in my heart that I won the jackpot though haha
DnB Senior games technician here...we definitely don't take them out and the balls are self contained. There's no way for a guest to even get a ball to throw. That could of just been an employee that didn't want to work on the game or didn't have a real answer so they gave a bs excuse. I'm sorry for that though.

One of my hacks at D&B, when playing Tailgate Toss, get all the bean bags before you play and to have an advantage to reach for the bags when the game starts.
If you play the Elaut coin pushers at Dave and Busters they sometimes will have a sliver coin pop in to the prize bin. The secret is that it's worth 12 plays on Sponge Bob, 5 plays on Star Trek, 1 play on Wonka, x plays on Wizard of Oz??? I try to save the coins to play sponge bob because of this.

Our local uk arcade still had paper tickets prior to lockdown. It'll be interesting to see if they still have them when we go next or if they are electronic. They didn't weigh the tickets though, but has a machine that you fed them into which counts them butvalso shreds them as well. I guess to prevent reuse and for recycling.
So the feeding machine vs. the weighing machine is interesting. I'm not sure if you get more when it uses the feeding system. Usually those machines are pretty accurate as they scan the little barcode as they go in. The weighing machine was much more of a variable. Soak your tickets in some water before putting them on the scale and watch the ticket total SOAR! Just kidding!! haha!
The correct number of balls/bags that are supposed to be in games that matter: *Down the Clown - they provide 20 per side on initial install. Generally 12 is acceptable though, but I remember seeing 15 in a settings guide way back when. *Tailgate Toss - 12. "Do not use more or less" is listed in the official ICE literature for that game. *2-Minute Drill - 10 footballs. Though honestly 8 is more than enough and 7 is playable. Don't be afraid to look under machines near Down the Clown, or look beside, on top of, or behind Tailgate Toss, to find stray bags or balls that might get you from unplayable to jackpot-worthy.

The arcade near me has the elaut coin machines' coin slot blocked off, but gives you 5 tickets for each one that you bring to the ticket counter. I'm sure the D&B trick works if you put enough coins at the right time (chips or cards about to fall), but it's a matter of which tradeoff is better.

Correct and it’s not all the coin pushers. You don’t need to for any coin pushers that give you cards like Star Trek or spongebob. But for the machines where you physically receive coins to drop into the machine you need to swipe your card to claim any tickets won.

That really depends on your skill level. 5k tickets = 10 jackpots on down the clown. Which if you could win in a row that would only be 32 credits! Which = less than $10

Soooo, these aren't hacks that we don't want you to know. The ticket thing could vary at stores...depending on how their scale was calibrated. We actually want you to win and if you don't get the right amount of tickets we usually give you the right amount and then some :) and please! If you have elaut coins put them in our pushers! They cost us money when people decide to take them home lol just make sure it's an elaut machine or else you'll jam the coin elevator.
the biggest thing that happens with down the clown is people will take balls from the neighboring down the clown game to increase their opportunity to win the jackpot on their play, but unfortunately they are screwing over whoever comes to play the neighboring down the clown game because they will be short on balls, which also creates more work for the game tech
I think they fixed the "claim other free credits" thing. Today I walked around and found 6 coin machines that had unclaimed tickets, but none of them went on my card after claiming. I assume they went onto whoever swiped their card to buy the gameplay?

For the love of GOD do not put elaut coins in all the coin pushers. They use different kinds of coins and it can REALLY mess up games. Make sure that that game uses elaut before inserting. Also always call a game tech. They are there to help
Also keep in mind for down the clown and games like that people steal and throw away those balls frequently. A good tech should give you a play on a different game if you felt a play was unfair for that reason

Spongebob coin pusher doesn’t use Elaut though. It uses Andamiro coins. In fact our Dave and busters spongebob machine rejects all coins right now.
