Hi, Chuck.. Yes its a hard starting tractor on a 110 degree day in Arizona after sitting at the bar for a few hours, lol . Always needs the glow plugs to get it fired up.
That's the only reason my father would never have one of those damn things, if you can't rely on them to start they're no damn good, we ran WD-40 TD 40 TD 9 WD 6 all started on gas switch to the diesel, you treated them right they were the greatest tractor on the planet right after Massey Harris LOL don't get me wrong I love those 560s and 660s just can't put up with their bulshit starting problems starting problems
@@IanHotson when it was cold weather the glow plugs took the top charger off the battery. If memory serves me correctly it had a single 12 volt battery under the seat. Now just imagine if you had a couple of those big 6 volt batteries in series, the ones that take 2 men and a boy to lift, then add onto the platform to hold them in place, crank that 660 fast for hours at a time !
I used to have one of these in the late 70,s,, cold running tractor, for the first 5 minutes
