Omg!!! this just takes me back when I first started playing Tekken back then. TH-cam was still new, most early vids were mostly from Japan with players like tetsuo, naokinggu, ranca and others. Then out of nowhere Korean vids started popping out with players like Knee, Holeman, JDCR, mainstreetryu. Their play style was so fast paced and different. It made the game look so good and fun. I binged so many of these vids, I’m so glad someone at least keep them around. There’s so many good gems and you can still learn from them too.
It's amazing to see that Knee was more sharper than he is rn. Every low I've seen they threw, he was able to block everything as if in reaction. Now that is truly godlike
yeah i also saw that on his q&a back then.. it's insane knowing how brutal and intense t5 was, and how godlike the players were on a game that doesn't look so complicated on the surface

It's not given he'll always play him because Knee became the most well rounded player with all characters during the TTT2 days but watching old T3/TT1/T4/T5 vids take sme back to the early days of this site when I would watch these old matches with him just bodying people left and right. His Bryan is so damn fast it's scary
It was back then, but things got to change. It was really fun though, almost anyone can pick up the game and win. No bounds or screw, once you've landed you're free from the mid air combo. Although some characters can still launch you while your character is still getting up which is frustrating at times.
The stages in tekken 5 were so cool. Tekken 4 has my favourites by far tho. 6 and 7 stages just dont have that same atmosphere these old stages gave off. Understandable with the big changes that came to gameplay and characters however. I remember losing games because I would notice something in the background and lose focus so many times
Man comboing was simple and calm back then, now you have combos longer and more difficult than the ones in here but does the same percent of damage. Though I think its more fun with the added complexity.

T5DR has a much healthier mix of neutral game and juggles. It also helps that Knee took more risks in this game, like how he keeps attempting TJU
