We’re potty training our daughter. Big little feelings on instagram explained that sometimes kids feel like pooping makes them feel like they’re losing apart of them so they get nervous to poop on the potty . Super weird but it honestly makes sense. I explained to my daughter poop is the food that our body didn’t need, and it helped her realize what was going on with her body, and go on the potty
I was a nanny to a 2yo girl who was petrified of pooping on the potty. We did all the books, snacks etc, nothing worked. And she was so constipated. So doctor recommended adding miralax to her water and that definitely helped. Also, there’s a book “it hurts to poop” you can look into it if you want! You can also add chia seeds to his smoothies for extra fiber. But you’re the mom and mama knows best! Hoping it gets easier for you! ❤
I just potty trained my 2 year old and we are going through the same thing with poop. It has definitely been more challenging. We will get through this!!! It’s nice to know someone else is in it with you ❤
My son is doing this same thing! It got to the point that I had to put a pull-up on to make him go in that just so he would stop holding it and go! Idk what the trick is, but these toddlers and holding in their poo. 😅
Totally respect wanting to respect Rocky’s privacy but also want to say I am so thankful for the potty training updates! My son is a year younger then Rocky and I love knowing what’s on the horizon
Ekko throwing her paci is SO Bria. Except she does it in the pitch black and we only have 1 left so I have no choice but to find it 🙃 Such a cute ending clip!
Aww love that little Ekko babe! She is adorable ! But I hear ya in the fiesty days lol! My little guy Magnus would do that with diapering ! It seemed like a marathon to get it done ! And he is sassy too and like to put a foot up in his high chair tray ! You are a great Momma and they are so lucky to have you !
I really appreciate how transparent you’ve been about screen time 🤍 I have a 19 month old and I swear the only way I can get anything done is by letting him watch ms rachel or super simple songs. I used to feel so guilty about it but I love how you say you use it as a tool - because that’s exactly what it is, sometimes it helps a lot!
Thank you for sharing your life and tips with us. Also love the little table with chairs at the beginning of the video, can you share where is it from? Thank you 😘
Love your new approach to VLOGS. Thanks for sharing Mama! You should definitely try Aritzia’s Butter leggings. They’re so soft and I like them better than Lululemons. And BONUS, they’re $30 cheaper!
We are currently going on day 5 of my toddler (20 m) withholding as well. No recos here but my pediatrician said to try the Culturelle probiotic from target. So going to try that tomorrow. But I’m right there with you *sigh
Could you add stickers for when he doesn’t cry/scream? Like motivation/incentive to stay calm/relaxed as well? Good luck! Hopefully more foods that help things move will help too.
Also going through potty training!! What are you doing for overnights/naps? My daughter holds her poop until her nap because she knows she’ll get a diaper
You are such an amazing mama!!! Don’t worry you’ll get through that number 2..my son does the same thing for probably a week or more he holds the poop for couple days and screaming crying I feel so bad I keep telling him it’s okay to get accidents but he just wanna use his toilet but just scared to push til one day I know he needed to go number 2 I brought his iPad and play his favorite show til he got it out lol and realized it wasn’t scary now he thinks he can poop anytime lol… I love watching your blog cus our boys is the same age mine is 1 months younger but love watching u I remember wen I keep showing rocky to him lol he gets excited 😂
I Love your hair like that. Fun fact I use to do my girls hair in bubble braids when they were growing up. It's simple but so darling. I love the faces that Ekko was making. How adorable. My Granddaughter Delilah does that as well. I tell her, Lilly bug show Nana your scrunchy face and she does it lol. It's so cute.🤗 I hope that that Rocky will get better at going#2. Some of my nieces and nephews didn't want to go poop either. Your doing a wonderful job with teaching him. Keep up the good work Beautiful. Thank you for sharing. Enjoy your Weekend. Much Love From Indiana.
So I know you said you don't want recommendations and you may have already tried this but we had a similar situation with poo. This may sound weird but when we potty trained my son he was also afraid to poo on the toilet, he would also cry or scream. I just hugged him while he was about to poo and I rubbed his back and comforted him and said I love you I'm here for you , it's ok to let it out. It took a few times of doing this and then he realized it wasn't so scary.
You’re doing such a wonderful job as a mama! With both of my boys I had to start and stop potty training twice before it stuck. My oldest was potty trained just before 3 but regressed with pooping and pooped in his pants for like 8 months.. every single day 😭 but he eventually grew out of it! Rocky will get more comfortable with time. I know it can be exhausting!
I’ve heard it takes a whole year postpartum for your organs to go back to their original position so your organs moving like that might actually be normal
super weird advice here… my little sister had the same potty problem.. it helps if they see you (or maybe your husband) do it and talk about what your doing. he might just not know whats going on… super uncomfortable but lets them know that literally everyone poops 😂
I just haven't shared, he just keeps picking at his face :( Got one scratch and now just picks!! I am trying to figure it out and didn't really want to bring any more attention to it

what is the highchair you are using for Ekko? It looks different compared to Rocky's Ikea one.

Culturelle has kids probiotic powder. I add that to my toddler’s smoothies as well to help with digestion.
