39:30 Fun fact: It's actually a good idea to boil pasta in a frying pan, just throw them in there, fill with enough water so they're well covered, add salt to taste and cook to your preferred state of done-ness, it's actually way faster and uses less energy, with basically no difference in taste. (this is only true for dried pasta, fresh pasta needs to be swimming in already boiling water for a short amount of time)

Serge commented on blue moon missing all the 5-7 drops, and I think I know why; he's basically on Murktide/UR tempo. I had a friend at a LGS describe blue moon as the control variant, that would use said Kerenos, while serge is a more tempo out/aggro plan
There are two versions of blue moon, the recall version that is more controlling and the Sprite dragon/moxen version that is more tempo oriented. I’ve been a fan of playing the recall version splashing green for Oko/wrenn&6 etc
I kinda want to see a face-off between two mid-tier tribal decks. Like, the kinds of tribes that make you go 'Well, they have been getting a lot better in the last few years, but..."

Typically I am always rooting for wheeler when he's playing Magic in these videos, unless it's him versus Alex in which case I'm rooting for hilarious banter. That aside however I can't remember the last one of these videos where Serge won. I'm sure it's happened but if you told me wheeler had won nearly 80% of the best-of-three games in this series I would be prone to believe you. Thus more and more I have found myself rooting for Serge in the underdog role.
Love showdown! Would like to see a reanimator shell, the rock, flying men, a tribal deck. Also still waiting for the return of a bigger canlander tournament setting hosted and commentated by the (non-competing) N100 boys. Also getting Nelly on showdown would also be sweet and let one of you take a breather.
I think I disagree, respectfully and gently, with Serge about the importance of birds in Craterhoof. It's true that there are replacements for the birds, but a mana dork is never going to be stronger than having been played turn one. If Ben follows up the Flame Slash with another bird on turn 2, well it is still a full turn until that one is online. Just my two cents for the youtube engagements.
The Thing in the Ice I believe should have been exiled by the fight effect since it died. So shouldn't have been available for fuel for the Treasure Cruise. There were two other cards so it probably did not materially change anything.
That, and Hoof wants as many bodies as it can possibly get. So culling that number can be good, even if the deck has replacements for any individual card.

I think so long as misrepresentation of a rule (Serge not exiling Thing in the Ice then using it to pay for Treasure Cruise) doesn't cost anyone the game (keeping specific cards in the yard), it's not s big deal.
Not to be *that* guy, but Serge accidentally cheated around 41:41, when he delved away Thing in the Ice. It should have been exiled instead by its fight with Mawloc.
