- In this video, my pal and Guide Zander and I are on a mission to catch the biggest catfish we possibly can! It takes all day, but we end up finding a true monster!
These fish are so different and strange compared to american catfish! They are almost like eels or snakes, and are unlike any fish I have targeted before!

I used to watch Northern Pike take down grown ducks in Ontario, Canada. And they arent even big in comparison. Ducklings are a pike fav, bass love em, too.

I personally don't like that big beach caster type method they do around mequenza section of the river though I understand the logic...better fun using the kinda gear you use for the cat fishing in USA..

As soon as I herd Spain, I new you were Wels fishing. My wife has become to ill to travel, we were going to retire in Spain next year and I was looking forward to some more Wels battles. The scary part is they get even bigger. LOL. Have fun and stay safe.

Awesome catch of a lifetime! So glad to finally see someone using a bait caster reel with the handle on the left side so they can use their strong arm to actually pull the fish in and the weak arm to reel..

I’m a lefty raised in a right handed world.. I can’t write with my right hand, but I can’t throw very far with my left either, so I set my rods up left-hand retrieve like this. All my righty-friends set theirs up right-hand retrieve and I always struggle to use their poles.
@@XxHyJyNxXI’m in the same bit as you but I still find it very hard to use left handed reels, maybe it’s just a matter of getting used to it

Ty, brother, I'm begging you, please give us longer videos. The 8, 9, and 10 minute videos always leave me wanting more. To me they look like a cross between the north American flathead and a burbok ( I think that's how you spell it) and look mean as hell. One of my bucket list catches! Nice fish man!

What a beautiful fish, Flathead head with an eel body LOL. Does the fight feel different with a fish with that type of body? Could you judge its size by the head shakes like you can with some of the North American fish?
It was kind of erratic, the fish could change directions so fast, and it could slack you up easier than any other giant fish I’ve caught in freshwater!
They were known to grab small British children back in the day. That is one freaky-looking catfish. This looks like someplace in Spain. Congrats on that fantastic catch.

Great catch👍 first catfish in Europe, and it's Albino😁 Try to imagine, that this year one team has beat up world record of this catfish up to over 104 inches....

@@TyPigPatrolI've just checked it. 285cm it's 112 inches. Previous one was just 4 cm shorter. It's less than 2 inches. That's the name of the lucky guy Alessandro Biancardi.

I've fished that exact same stretch myself about a decade ago.
Unfortunately there was a cold snap and water temperatures went really low.
I didn't manage to catch one myself but some guys next to me did. In weighed in at 197lbs. 3 of them held it for a picture.

I was fishing Percy Priest near Nashville TN and I saw a guy catch a huge fish, I went over to check it out and it was a guy from England that caught a 20 to 25 pound Carp. I helped him take a picture to show his friends in England and he said he was shocked how we treated them as a trash fish.
