    Lay/lie are very difficult for most people. Lay means to place or put ("Lay the book on the table). Lie means to recline (as "to lie in bed"). To make it more confusing, lay is the past tense of lie. Yet, lay is the present tense and past tense of lay. Most people use lay and lie interchangeably, yet they are not interchangeable.

      @@MarcieNielsen I've had to look these words up a million times, so finally learned them! And I still use lay instead of lie when talking. :)
