Started in 1977 and still at it. Seen many changes at it is lovely to see old memories. Young people today are unable to countenance a life like that at sea then.
Ah, smokeo, tab-nabs, calm seas, like oil n' glass, & wild seas, far eastern exotic ladies, the crew bar & JB's on the Kiwi coast. What a life ... & they paid us! Fond memories.
I definitely remember having HF CW radio sleds with the Westmoreland, 60s/70s, from ZLB Awarua Radio, New Zealand. PS Argentina Star also rings a bell.

Spent a wonderful 52 years at sea but times have changed for the worst, no British Merchant ships left with British crews.
old memories flooding back 41 years merchant navy
God bless the sailors the world over! I keep you all in my prayers and I wish you calm seas and good fortune 🌹⚓
Most are rubbish sailors nowadays. Cheap labor.
Days when I was at my happiest, seen some of those boats here in Southampton

Good old days when we crewed our own ships before they switched to cheap foreign labour from Asia...
