Hi again Jonni , i used to sink newspapers in a bucket of water to get a paper clay rather than sculpturing by tapes on newspapers , but after watching to the end I learn new things from you, so thanks again and I wish the second part for claying, feathering and painting will not delay more than a week. Best regards from Jordan.
Hi Ahmed. This project got delayed because we had a big storm and the power was out for four days. No Internet, and no power for my video camera. But I hope to get the bird and her new friend finished sometime this week. 😊
@@UltimatePaperMache Hi Jonni , Wishing you the best and sorry about the power off. My wife is from Philippines when the tyfoon attacked she brought from China a fan which makes electricity easily. It works for months perfectly until the electric sources were return by government project.
That is so neat. It is fun watching you take some tape, cardboard and paper and form it into that bird. You do such a nice job. I think you are a good teacher and engineer. Oh yes, I did get the paper dog done but I did not finish the metal dog. He is fighting me all the way. I hope to get it done this week .................. if I can build up the courage. Good job on the video and the project. Thanks for sharing your skills with the TH-cam world. 😉😉😉🤨🤨🤨😀😀😀😀😀
Stubborn dog, eh? I hope he doesn't bite, or I'll be in real trouble for mentioning it. All of your work turns out really nice, though, so I'll bet this one does, too. ☺️

He has an extra wire coming down his leg below the foot, so it will stand nicely once the base is made. It's possible that he could have been weighted to get him to stand on one foot, but it would take a lot of fiddling - and a house without a curious cat. I think it's safest to give him a base. And it gives me an excuse to play around with making foam rocks, which I've never done before. I think it will be fun. 😊
@@UltimatePaperMache im owned by a cat too.my betty kitty gets into everything as well.i do fiber arts mainly and she 'assists' me by testing the softness of wool and tussah silk by napping on it lol when i weight felted sculptures i use these pellets off amazon sometimes glass sometimes plastic,i like the glass better,i sew them into small pouches.im sure that there's an easier way but i too like the difficult route,i like learning, like you do too.have fun playing with foam!try some form of a hot wire its kinda fun.im playing with chalk pastels, never used them lol i like them and you can get lovely gradients on fiber.im looking forward to seeing how you set the scene for the foot fetish couple 😄💖💖💖
I started on the mate, but had to stop the project temporarily because our power went out after a big storm. I hope to get back to them today. It should make a nice sculpture, if all goes according to plan. 😊
Thabk you for the new video i am still watching , actually what ppl used to call wrist of the hand is the palm , the wrist is what you just pointed with your index finger , wrist is the end of arm liking the hand to the arm.
But to make it even more complicated, the bird's wrist would be on his wings, if he had a wrist, and his heal is hidden under his wing. Although I don't know if they call it a heal or not. 😊
@@UltimatePaperMache Oh sorry , my comment was about the hand where the video finger pointed , when its about bird feet the join part between feet and leg is the Torsa copied from human bone joint part Tarsa which copied from original Arabic word Tors where its Arabic root berb is TRS ترس . Mentioning that the Veternary copied from Arabic word Baiter (source root verb BTR ) which means the oldest thing were humans do thextreat animals by cutting parts of the horse hoof to treat the feet step. BTR root sourse meaning in Arabic is Cut in English. The earlist worldwide (veternary hospital) were in India about 2500 BC.
On balance ,..could you also use those lead weights that fisherman’s use ,..?? Sorry! My fingers spoke before my brain was in gagged. ?Are lead weights illegal now ? Inquiring minds want to know.
I think anything small and heavy would work, and I don't know if they're illegal or not. I'm sure a lot of fishermen still have some rolling around in their tackle boxes. 🙂
It's a long process that takes several weeks. I create a clay sculpture, make multiple paper mache copies of it, and then cut them into pieces, tape them together, and see if they work. If you just need a few duplicates of one of your own sculptures, the easy way to do it is to make a silicone mold, and make paper mache castings. You can see how to do that here: th-cam.com/video/zevmy70b4oo/w-d-xo.html
Also, for folks in the USA, I find "Scott's" masking tape in 'contractor packs' to br the cheapest way to buy them, normally at Home Depot. You get 5 or 6 rolls for the cost of 3...... Make sure you don't buy too much tape, it does have a "shelf life", & will be harder to work with as it gets older.
Yes, that's a great idea! I was thinking about using small stones, but a washer would work better as long as it's covered with tape. The rust can migrate through paper mache and show up on the surface if it isn't covered.
I would love to add translations, but I can't figure out how to get TH-cam to do it - they used to have automatic translated subtitles, but they seem to have changed things a year or two ago.
There are times when I could use a little help - digging in the garden, painting the house, etc. Watch out - if you get too close I might put you to work. 🙂
You seem like such a fun person. I like how clearly you speak and how you structure your sentences
