    If you look at the old thermostat, there were two holes drilled in the plate, these are to allow trapped air to get out of the engine block. You should drill a 1/8 th hole in the plate of the replacement be fore installing.....Hal

    Did you get a comfortable temperature on our Willy's after the change?

      I did. The 160 degree thermostat indeed dropped the engine operating temp by almost the full 20 degrees vs the previously installed 180 degree thermostat. Here in Texas, the cooler running thermostat is a must.
