Not too sure). Also, losing the check in the encounter just before this battle can be.... Problematic, but that should bring you too much trouble if you can just clash his attacks and build up your SP. Faust (for SP and maybe healing if you have fluid sac ego) and another sinner with an ego that clashes relatively high (ryoshu, gregor, rodya) should be more than enough to make this boss fight not too difficult.

Evade works on turn order. It's kinda difficult to tell when different enemies land on the same speed number, but basically if you dodge the fastest enemy, it'll follow up to the next one. Alternatively, using an evade on a slow enemy means you won't trigger evade until the targeted enemy attacks. Which is a b tch.

Use pequod Ishmael or N Faust to kill the weak vines and gain sanity and then group and hit it till it dies
