This game looks fun. If only I had a XBOX.
I edited out most of the Shadow Lords grinding and just included the most important fights. Tried to edit this to match how the season 2 story mode is. I also included all cut scenes that involved Kim Wu.
EDIT: Also I didn't include all the fights against the omens since some of them I had to fight with my other characters since I can only use Kim Wu once per turn during shadow lords.

Much as I love this game, they really should have sprung for better writers. These story segments are kind of painful in their badness.

I’m so glad Kim Wu and Jago killed all demons cause one reason: I’m terrified of demons. Real demons. But I’m satisfied with animals and dinosaurs and of course: girls. And to be honest I suck at the hardest difficulties modes trying to beat Gargos.

Not really. This game is kind of a reboot/ sequel. This Kim Wu and Maya in this game are meant to be descendants of the original Kim Wu and Maya from Killer Instinct 2.
@Ice didn't you see me say it's both. The maya and Kim wu in this game are descents of the maya and kim wu from ki2. And the tusk in this game is the same one from ki2. Its both a sequel and a soft reboot

@Ice the game was low budget from the start. All content was added based on sales. They began running low on funds during season 2. The never meant to put a story into the game or the those terrible ultimate. Alot of people come to my videos expecting this amazing story mode with cutscenes like Mortal kombat, and that's not what you gonna get l

so what's the post-game in Shadow Lords like? do you still need to worry about the world being invaded or can you do missions more leisurely after you beat Gargos?
After you beat Gargos you have to start over in Shadow Lord's. Everything you gathered carries over though into new playthrough.

BlackLink20 not really. He is a guest charscter. I could play through shadow lords with him but he doesn't have any special cutscenes or anything

Damm is this on ps4? This game looks and sounds nice and definitely way better then mk11 but not mkx or xl no way but it's nice.
Why do people ask this almost 10 years after the game was released. Microsoft owns Killer Instinct so it never will release on anything Sony has

Is there one for all Killer Instinct characters? By that, I mean from Killer Instinct, not from other games like Rash from Battletoads.
So, what exactly did selecting Maya at the beginning do? The story obviously presented Jago as your BFF in the first couple fights, but after that he disappeared, and it seemed as though Hisako was your other ally. Also, what ever happened with that bargain Kan-Ra offered where you could save Jago's life? He's obviously a pretty untrustworthy dude, but did Kim really just leave her buddy to die (or worse, knowing what Kan-Ra is into), just so she could keep her loot? That story thread never got resolved as far as I could tell.
First of all you taking this story way too deep. It was never meant to be fully fleshed out. This mode was created just to keep casual players playing the game. The people who played this online competitively probably never touched shadow lords
I am one of those "casual" players, and if the designers of the game are willing to sacrifice my interest in the story, in order to better satisfy the competitive players (who are more likely to be a good financial investment to cater to anyway)...that's a valid choice as both a group of designers and a publishing company. It just makes me sad, since Killer Instinct is already one of my favorite games of all time, and yet it has this bad writing holding it back. It's like having a delicious burger that's one inch from my mouth but sealed in cellophane - it's just SO CLOSE to being the ultimate satisfaction I crave, but there's this flimsy barrier in the way which prevents me from really enjoying it.
@@EnvisionerWill but you do realize KI has never been known for its story. To be honest it never had a story that made any sense. I mean it's a game about werewolves fighting skeletons, dinosaurs fighting ninjas and an ice alien fighting robots lol
Games from the 90s in general didn't try very hard to have a coherent story, but as the teenagers who played those games grew up and became adults with more mature tastes, we tend to expect (or at least wish for) a bit more from our entertainment. We still think it's awesome to see a robot werewolf punch out a dinosaur skeleton, but we'd ideally like to know that this encounter is happening for more reason than "because it's cool". (Note: I say "we", but if you don't feel that way, that's fine; I'm speaking for myself and an unknown number of others who share this perspective.) There's an entire video on this subject somewhere that I should find and link, if I could remember who it was by exactly. I'm thinking it was Cracked or perhaps Lockstin; I'll get back to you if you're interested.

@@chobingnami7379 no jago is like one of the main heroes of killer instinct. But when they were making the game they didnt have a story mode at he start of it. Killer instinct was made in 3 seasons. Jago is a season 1 character. They didnt make story mode until season 2. So the season 1 characters like jago didnt get a story mode like others.

The story in KI is so fucking pretentious and lame. I hate how the narrator and not the characters talk. Like this is the type of game that tries so hard to be cool that it is uncool.
