The only bummer is it won't get android 14, which is a shame. If Sony can at least provide 3 os updates, it would be big. Otherwise, this phone is everything an enthusiast would ask for.
Great video as usual TK. You remain one of tbe most underrated TH-cam tech reviewers. Since you were at CES I am curious if you saw the Sony Vision S EVs?

Very good video! I have kind of a niche question, since you mention the haptic feedback for music playing, how does the vibration motor compare to a Pixel 6 Pro or a recent high-end Xiaomi? Actually, what I could find about the most appreciated linear actuators in the industry (Apple taptic engine, Pixel 4, Pixel 6) is that they all have a base vibration frequency somewhere between 150 and 160 Hertz. For sure it is not the only important parameter as switching from a Oneplus 5T to a Zenfone 6 taught me, but at this point I doubt it is a mere coincidence. So do you think you could measure said frequency for the Xperia in some way? If you cannot, perhaps a thing you could do in your next reviews is to record the vibrator so some of us could give an estimation. Since I happen to have perfect pitch, I compare the vibrations to test tones on TH-cam and that is how I was able to give an estimation of the frequency of said vibrators. Of course it's up to you to take my suggestion or not, and I know what I'm asking is again an extremely niche thing, but on the other hand, if I have an idea that can give reviewers a way to distinguish themselves even more, then why wouldn't I give it? Anyway, congratulations again. Take care.
I make fun at Sony for their naming scheme on the ps5 and psvr2 as being too simple but holy... I guess I prefer those simple names over whatever the phone team is choosing XD.
It's not difficult. It's named the same as their Alpha cameras. I didn't like the names they used to give their phone. But I actually like the use of the model number (Xperia 1) and them the generation (mark iii)
@@Sabundy Ehm... It's not difficult to get, fine, but then say it out loud : "oh yeah, my 1 mark 3 us cool, how's you iphone 14?, Cool, but my s22 is fine also, Oh right, but my 1 mark 3 is cool!" Written might be misleading, but in a conversation it sounds troublesome.
