      I did exactly that I was going to get the Samsung and I literally got my Sony Xperia 5 iii yesterday. I love that is not to big it fells really comfortable in the hand loving the sound but I haven't explored it enough.
      Also headphone jack and extra storage I have missed you

      @LeFatalpotato 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Same but for a53 lol. It's $350 more than the A53 but I got a much better camera, soc, and a headphone jack so I don't have to pay $300+ for stupid Bluetooth headphones. The only bummer is it won't get android 14, which is a shame. If Sony can at least provide 3 os updates, it would be big. Otherwise, this phone is everything an enthusiast would ask for.

    How well was the phone holding on to T-Mobile data? I brought my Xperia 1 from AT&T to T-Mobile, and my signal is much worse, even compared to other devices. Often I drop from LTE to H+/3G/EDGE, and the phone would never get back up unless I reboot it.

    Very good video!
    I have kind of a niche question, since you mention the haptic feedback for music playing, how does the vibration motor compare to a Pixel 6 Pro or a recent high-end Xiaomi?
    Actually, what I could find about the most appreciated linear actuators in the industry (Apple taptic engine, Pixel 4, Pixel 6) is that they all have a base vibration frequency somewhere between 150 and 160 Hertz. For sure it is not the only important parameter as switching from a Oneplus 5T to a Zenfone 6 taught me, but at this point I doubt it is a mere coincidence. So do you think you could measure said frequency for the Xperia in some way? If you cannot, perhaps a thing you could do in your next reviews is to record the vibrator so some of us could give an estimation. Since I happen to have perfect pitch, I compare the vibrations to test tones on TH-cam and that is how I was able to give an estimation of the frequency of said vibrators.
    Of course it's up to you to take my suggestion or not, and I know what I'm asking is again an extremely niche thing, but on the other hand, if I have an idea that can give reviewers a way to distinguish themselves even more, then why wouldn't I give it?
    Anyway, congratulations again. Take care.

    I make fun at Sony for their naming scheme on the ps5 and psvr2 as being too simple but holy... I guess I prefer those simple names over whatever the phone team is choosing XD.

    • @Sabundy
      @Sabundy 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It's not difficult. It's named the same as their Alpha cameras. I didn't like the names they used to give their phone. But I actually like the use of the model number (Xperia 1) and them the generation (mark iii)

    • @soragranda
      @soragranda 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Sabundy Ehm... It's not difficult to get, fine, but then say it out loud : "oh yeah, my 1 mark 3 us cool, how's you iphone 14?, Cool, but my s22 is fine also, Oh right, but my 1 mark 3 is cool!" Written might be misleading, but in a conversation it sounds troublesome.

    • @Sabundy
      @Sabundy 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@soragranda matter of preference and taste. It's also subjective. You use examples that forget the additions like iphone 14 max pro or S22 Ultra ....which are not exactly not silly names either. If anything smartphone names in general are getting pretty damn silly imho. So no....I don't think 1 mark iii sounds any less silly. Again...I'm not saying they are great names, but I don't think they are that bad. And certainly no less silly than a lot of modern phone names. And actually some people do think "mark iii" sounds cool. Like a fighter jet or iron man's armour. But again mate.....it's also subjective. Though I will argue that the Xperia Pro I is actually a pretty solid name for a phone. And easily the best name Sony has ever given a phone.

    • @soragranda
      @soragranda 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@Sabundy I didn't forget a thing, with the Xperia 1 mark 3 there is not plus or ultra whatever.
      It's simple, it sound weird to say out loud, it's not like I'm the only saying, it's the consensus for a while with how Sony named their phones, and yes it's subjective, is naming schemes dude.
      The Pro 1 did sound cool, and that phone is great!

    • @ravishjoshi9262
      @ravishjoshi9262 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@soragranda I just call my phone 'my Xperia' in conversation just like an iPhone user might use 'my iphone'. No normal person goes around saying the full name of their phone, just sounds like a good way to look like a tool. Also, if you want to compare, compare full names atleast. It's Xperia 1 mark 3 vs iPhone 13 Pro Max and Galaxy S22 Ultra. The iPhone name used in full has more syllables than either the Xperia or the Samsung and those are tied still.
