Wait, this is so fun. All of my favorite hosts coming together and just enjoying a trivia game. And the scientific explanation at the end of each question is just icing on the cake. Please do more of these!
Oh my god the title... the memories... -That’s what she said -Spamster -He put my stuff in jello again -Blood, urine, or semen -WHERE ARE THE TURTLEEES, where are they -No god please no, No NO, *_NOOOOO_* And of course Dwight’s Mussolini speech XD Thank you for this, SciShow
Neo2266 -wazzup -ayyyyyyeeee -Ro Agatha!! -I want a big family... Like a big family, tall, strong, big -Identity theft is not a joke Jim! Millions of families suffer every year! -Where’s the heart?! The precious heart!!
Michael: "what's the interior temperature of a tauntaun?" Both Hank and Caitlin at the same time: "Lukewarm!" Everybody: *laughs* ...you guys are all freaking nerds, this is why I love this channel
I love SciShow Quiz Show! And I love Caitlin! I also love Hank and Michael, but they're almost always on, so I was expecting them. My only complaint is that we don't get these episodes more often.
SciShow QuizShow's approach to rewards is the best form of a participation trophy -- there's still a preservation of competition via who wins or loses conceptually but in reality (loot), everyone wins!
Does that button actually make that dinging sound or is that added in after? I've been wondering this for years. Love your shows and everything you do and support!
The title being a reference to the US version of "The Office", when Jim dressed up as Dwight and did some Dwight-isms. I always thought it was Bears, BEETS, Battlestar Galactica being a reference to Dwight being a Beet farmer. After actually watching the video and seeing the dancing animals segment, the correct usage is BEATS. Good Job SciShow!
Excuse me? A healthy diet of Bears, Beats, and Battlestar Galactica will expand your testicles by a factor of no less than three fold. Also applies to lady testicles.
Fun fact regarding the quarantune of Apollo astronauts: moon dust was so fine and pernicious it was everywhere inside the craft & all over their spacesuits, the quarantine would probably have been useless if there were moon bugs - the aircrews, aircraft and areas of the ship that picked up the astronauts were all contanimated. I recall this from an interview very long ago, and it's mentioned a bit here, but I can't find more details right now. www.newscientist.com/blog/space/2007/02/alien-containment.html
Hard 'G' .gifs are absolutely a hill I will die on, Hank. The 'G' stands for graphics, for crying out loud. If it stood for "giraffes", a soft 'g' would absolutely be appropriate. You are better than peanut butter: soft 'g' is also confusing with Jif, so the hard 'G' is pragmatically more efficient as well. I believe in you. The fact that the creators intended it to be confusing does not make them right, and they clearly stand on the wrong side of history.
I just treat it like "Lorry"/"Truck" or 'Colonel'-'Curnal': Just the English language being silly, as usual. As long as I understand what people mean, it works. Gif is great, Jif is perfectly fine, Gee eye eF is ok. Jay eye eF can only ever be trolling though.
Can the way Stephan present the prize each quiz show get more and more ridiculous each time? I want to see him break something for a sake of a SciShow pin lol
Beats. Beets. Beets. Beets. Beats 'n beets 'n beets 'n beets 'n beets 'n beets 'n beets 'n beets 'n, Beats 'n bears. Beats 'n bears. Beats 'n bears. Bears. Bears. Beats 'n beets 'n beets 'n beets 'n beets 'n beets 'n beets 'n beets 'n, Beats 'n bears. Beats 'n bears. Beats 'n bears. Bears. Bears. Beat's 'n bears 'n beets 'n bears 'n beets 'n bears 'n BATTLESTAR GALACTICA! Beat's 'n bears 'n beets 'n bears 'n beets 'n bears 'n BATTLESTAR GALACTICA! ... this is what is now stuck in my head.
I said antifreeze is what the caterpillars use, but when they showed the 4 answers to choose from, I didn't know. But it was nice to hear that my first thought was right.
Exactly... I always wondered why do you do a commercial break? I love these videos so much, keep doing them! By the way, am I the only one who thinks that Hank looks so nerd, but a very hot one?
The moon quarantine thing is a bit disturbing when you hear that one of the astronauts noticed a gap in the facility allowing air flow out. So not just ultimately unnecessary, which on one could have been sure of, but very half-assed.
That could also explain why someone like me, who has anxiety problems due to GABA (the brainwave suppressing neurotransmitter) also has trouble picking out sounds in noisy environments.
01:42 Caitlin is the prettiest and smartest TH-cam host the world has ever seen. I love winnie the pooh so I'm curious why all the sidelong suspicious look?
We should just rename I lost scishow quiz show to Hank represented me in scishow quiz show
Ian Grapes 😂😂😂 can't stop laughing.rofl
Imma die i want that pin
Wait, this is so fun. All of my favorite hosts coming together and just enjoying a trivia game. And the scientific explanation at the end of each question is just icing on the cake. Please do more of these!

Love Caitlin. Hanks cool too, but that Caitlin....

I mean, everything about SciShow Quiz Show is fantastic, but Stefan has got to be my favorite. His jokes never fail to amuse me.
"I didn't even know you could _suppress_ a brainwave."
That sounds like a very interesting book: _The Suppressed Brainwave_
lazyperfectionist1 there is this book called "the missing piece" same concept.
Supressed Brainwaves is the name of my synth pop band.
Good name for a rock band too.
This is the nerdiest thing I've ever seen and I love it.
Do more!
Mitochondria: the powerhouse of the bears, beets, and Battlestar Galactica.
Thank you Hank Green for playing for me! Hahaha at the 10.2! You looked disappointed at the end, but I'm very happy nonetheless! GG TINAAAA >:)
Michael: "what's the interior temperature of a tauntaun?"
Both Hank and Caitlin at the same time: "Lukewarm!"
Everybody: *laughs*
...you guys are all freaking nerds, this is why I love this channel
"66% chance instead of 77% chance of being wrong?" I think that's 100% wrong.
I love SciShow Quiz Show! And I love Caitlin! I also love Hank and Michael, but they're almost always on, so I was expecting them. My only complaint is that we don't get these episodes more often.
"It's an illusion, Michael."
I got the reference Caitlin. 😂👌🏼
NOT THE LUNAR FLU! ANYTHING BUT THE LUNAR FLU!
SciShow QuizShow's approach to rewards is the best form of a participation trophy -- there's still a preservation of competition via who wins or loses conceptually but in reality (loot), everyone wins!
I enjoy Stefan's prize explanations more and more each episode. Keep up the enthusiasm, Stefan!
I love the surprise on everyone’s aces when Hank got the elephant seals question right lol
Does that button actually make that dinging sound or is that added in after? I've been wondering this for years. Love your shows and everything you do and support!

great office reference!

That scream at 5:19 - just, wow.
The "oh no!" in the last round made me laugh so loud I scared my roommate.

Excuse me? A healthy diet of Bears, Beats, and Battlestar Galactica will expand your testicles by a factor of no less than three fold.
Also applies to lady testicles.
It's true! I went from 1 * 10 ^ -100 m to 1 * 10 ^ 100m!

I want a SciShow Quiz Show, whare the person playinng against Hank gets extra points for calling him William during the entire game.
"I won't die now, Jack London!"
Dead. xD

Thanks for sharing!!!
Sweet, have Caitlin on the the quiz show more.
Caitlyn and Hank are the best combo IMO.
I love that picture of Nixon smiling at an aquarium full of astronauts.
Hard 'G' .gifs are absolutely a hill I will die on, Hank. The 'G' stands for graphics, for crying out loud. If it stood for "giraffes", a soft 'g' would absolutely be appropriate. I go with the pronounced version from the formats inventor.....jiff
I liked the pacing and comedic timing of this episode
How fitting that the elephant seal in the Urmel stories actually sings.
Mitochondria: *the powerhouse of the cell!*
Can the way Stephan present the prize each quiz show get more and more ridiculous each time?
I want to see him break something for a sake of a SciShow pin lol
I want a SciShow bow tie. Make it happen.
First time I've seen an actual commercial during the commercial break!
I love answering these questions I get to use all the random science facts I have
This is a fun quiz show. You guys are awesome 😍😍😍.
12:43 "actual scores because oops" LMAOOOOO
The guy that Bopped out the Beats for Battlestar Galactica was named Bear, By the By.
im loving the way they present the prizes now xD
I just finished up my probably 6th rewatch of the series on Amazon Prime.
Good timing
Please put my favorites up against each other ... Caitlin versus Olivia next!!!
Hard G, Hank...
I must not have Theta Oscillations, because I can't actually do that.
Shogun Same here. I also have tinnitus, do you? I was wondering if there could be a link.
Iso Fleecie I don't think so, because it definitively doesn't work for me (and never has) but I don't have Tinnitus
Beats.
Beets.
Beets.
Beets.
Beats 'n beets 'n beets 'n beets 'n beets 'n beets 'n beets 'n beets 'n,

this is what is now stuck in my head.
When Jim makes fun of Dwight Bears Beats Battlestar Galactica LOL
Grats Cait !
Too sad no BSG but great as always!!
If this wasn’t scishow I would have exited as soon as you said “jiff”
I said antifreeze is what the caterpillars use, but when they showed the 4 answers to choose from, I didn't know. But it was nice to hear that my first thought was right.
I've never seen an actual commercial break before the final round.
Exactly... I always wondered why do you do a commercial break? I love these videos so much, keep doing them! By the way, am I the only one who thinks that Hank looks so nerd, but a very hot one?
Feelin old. I remember the moon diseases. It was a real issue.
Paul Drake
Yep. And sensationalist articles about wiping out all life on earth.
When dealing with space, it's better to be safe than assassinated! lol
Mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell!
The moon quarantine thing is a bit disturbing when you hear that one of the astronauts noticed a gap in the facility allowing air flow out. So not just ultimately unnecessary, which on one could have been sure of, but very half-assed.
Loving the Dwight Schrute from The Office reference.
Loved it ! Keep up the good work .
This is a great episode!
I knew the wooly caterpillar one. It's one of my favorite animals!!!
didnt even notice the refence until they addressed it. Now im just rewatching "The Office" in its entirety.... thanks SciShow! >:[
bow!! bow like an archer's bow, a violin bow, rhymes with dough!
That could also explain why someone like me, who has anxiety problems due to GABA (the brainwave suppressing neurotransmitter) also has trouble picking out sounds in noisy environments.
The title of this episode is the best!
I loved the carnivoran systematics!
I love them so much~
Saw the title and instantly thought "DWIGHT AND JIM"
Awesome arrested Development reference 😉
Very sad there as no actual Battlestar Galactica, but I still laughed and learned things woo!
Is that a night light 😂😂😂
These are my favorite
I thought the answer to the final question was waiting for dial-up connection.
Hey Michael, and what if we wanna see more of Hank? He's everywhere so he doesn't need to be mentioned? :-D
Love the office references
Misread the title as Beers, Beats, Battlestar Galactica. Which is a cool podcast about BSG.
01:42
Caitlin is the prettiest and smartest TH-cam host the world has ever seen. I love winnie the pooh so I'm curious why all the sidelong suspicious look?
Caitlin is epic.
My theta oscillations must on the fritz since I can never understand people in loud environments.
My brain never suppresses it's theta oscillations...
hey there was actually an ad at the 'commercial break'
Love scishow 🙌
I googled bear dogs and got a bunch of pomeranians that look like bears... (not complaining though... they're adorable af)
FYI- NASA has a SoundCloud account where they upload space noises like this!
